You guys watch Shameless on Showtime? I more or less enjoyed the first season, due in large part to the gorgeous Emmy Rossum, but having watched the first couple episodes of the new season I am sad to say that they may have already jumped the shark.

Hell yeah. I was at the grocery store during the game, checking my phone periodically. When they were only up by a few with a couple mins to go I pretty much wrote it off and forgot about it. Just got home and found a pleasant surprise.

Pitt, for sure. I was embarrassed for them last night. Jamie Dixon has a look of resignation on his face like he just doesn't care about the rest of the season.

There were several times last night where there was a hopeful spot, like they'd get a turnover or something, and then they would go on to miss a point blank layup or simply turn it back over and let louisville hit a wide open 3 or let Peyton Siva glide through the lane unabated. So so bad, hindsight is 20/20 but at least I learned a lesson.

Eh go with your gut Filmy. I shouldnt have said double up because if you do based on me the plays gonna lose lol. But I'll give you some reasoning.

Line opened at -2.5 SF and has moved to -1 at some sites (including mine). Vegas is BEGGING you to take the giants at basically a pickem. Vegas is smarter than us. Look at where the money is. 60% on giants for the side, and 76% on giants ML. Last week Vegas got absoleutely destroyed because around 75-80% of ML bets were on giants when they beat the pack. Giants were anywhere from +7-9. Do you think Vegas is gonna allow themselves to get burned again (by the same team nonetheless). Usually arguments like this arent taken well on these boards, so I'll talk about the game a little.

Calling for sloppy weather conditions. Rain and 15-20 mph winds. How do the Giants win? Well, they cant run the ball. They havent been able to all year. (Dont look at last week, packers were just awful). 49ers have the #1 ranked run defense in the NFL and havent allowed a rushing td all year. So what's the giants game plan? Throw throw throw. If Eli throws 40+ times in that weather against that defense, look for turnovers. SF proved they can get turnovers even against the most high power of offenses last week. Now, look at SF. Alex Smith is the prototypical game manager. These conditions favor SF because their O line run blocking is incredible. Frank Gore was built for this game today. Plus 49ers are at home and i always hate taking a team traveling east to west. Does Vegas get burned two weeks in a row by the same team? Maybe, but I want to be on Vegas' side for this game.

Edit: Forgot a great stat bigd1 provided earlier this week. Team beating the defending champion in the playoffs is 0-14 ATS the next week.

You make a convincing argument for sure. I'm gonna wait a bit and think on it before I buy out. What do you think of Ravens taking the points though?

Made a promise to myself to not bet the Ravens again this year. If I had to take this game I'd take the Patriots. What have the Ravens showed anyone to warrant putting money on them? They are abysmal on the road. They lost @ Jacksonville @ Tennessee and @ Seattle. They barely beat a team @ home last week that had their third string qb in (who looked lost). Ravens are garbage.
