Hopefully they'll heat up this 2nd half and drop 40+ a piece.

      2.1.11 (4:00pm ET) CREIGHTON-BRADLEY OVER 132.5 [-110]
Bradley has some major issues defensively recently, allowing 50% shooting over their last five. That could be trouble against a Creighton team heating up in their last five, putting up 71 ppg on 50% shooting. The Blue Jays have killed it from 3 in that span, averaging 46% shooting from distance. Creighton has hit OVERs in four straight and four of their last five road games. Bradley has hit OVERs in seven of their last ten with home OVERs hitting in five of their last six. Looking for Bradley to bounce back from a season-worst 41 point effort on the road against Wichita State. Their first meeting ended with 149 points and the series has favored the OVER, hitting in 13 of the last 16.

Another pair of teams shooting the ball like crap today. Not surprised Bradley is because they stink, but Creighton should be doing better against this team. Both shooting around 42%. Be lucky to hit 50 at the half. Sheesh.

Crap ass first half and they still almost pulled it out with 130 points total and Creighton missed a three in the last ten seconds that could have done it.

            2.2.11 (7:00pm ET) GEORGE WASHINGTON-DUQUESNE OVER 142.5 [-110]
Duquesne remains one of the most explosive offense squads in D1. They average almost 82 ppg at home on 47% shooting. The Dukes have put up more than 81 points in four straight and five of their last seven overall. OVERs have hit five straight and they have eclipsed this number in five of their last six at home. GW's road defense has been so-so, yielding 46% shooting and giving up almost 70 ppg. GW has yet to face an explosive offense like the Dukes though and their last road game saw them give up 81 to Xavier. The Dukes will look to dictate pace and if they continue to score close to their average, the Colonials will be forced to keep up and do the rest to try and beat this number. GW averages 67 ppg on the road.

Don't know how that barely made it at 143. They were at 137 with almost four minutes left. Oh well, at least it was a winna!

                2.3.11 (7:30PM ET) ILLINOIS CHICAGO-DETROIT OVER 138.5 [-110]
Detroit's home games have hit OVERs in eight of nine this season. The Titans put up a solid 77 ppg on 47% shooting. Illinois-Chicago has stumbled defensively on the road all season, allowing 74 ppg on 46% shooting. They have given up at least 71 points in five of their last six on the road. Detroit is allowing almost 75 ppg at home this season with only one opponent scoring under 70 in the last seven at home. The first meeting ended at 141 points at Illinois-Chicago. If Detroit can enforce their up-tempo style from the opening tip, I believe this has a good shot.

                          2.3.11 (10pm ET) CS NORTHRIDGE-UC RIVERSIDE OVER 139 [-110]
Northridge has been scoring at-will lately, shooting 50% over the last five games while putting up 75 ppg. Riverside is struggling to score lately, but at home they have been a ton better. They have averaged 74 ppg at home with 73 or more in three of their last four at home. Northridge has been solid defensively over their last five, allowing just 36% shooting but opponents have still put up 65 or more in four of those five. Away from home for the season, Northridge is allowing 72 ppg on 43% shooting. CSN prefers an up tempo style and will look to attack the Riverside D that has allowed 47% shooting in their last five and over 40% from distance. CSN has nailed 44% from beyond the arc in their last five. The first meeting ended at 131 @ Northridge with the home-standing Matadors suffering a bad shooting night [37%]. OVERs in conference play have hit in seven of Northridge's last nine. Riverside has nailed three straight OVERs.

                              2.4.11 (7:00pm ET) EAST TENNESSEE STATE-FLORIDA GULFCOAST OVER 137 [-110]
Gulfcoast ranks as one of the worst defenses in D1, giving up almost 79 ppg on 47% shooting. On the season, they have only given up less than 70 points in two of their 20 games. They average right around 68 ppg at home and will go up against an ETSU defense that gives up 66. The Buccaneers have given up at least 60 points in eight of their last ten. ETSU has amped up their offense lately with 50% shooting and 74 ppg over their last five compared to their 68 ppg average on the season on 45% shooting. The first meeting between these two saw 149 points in an 84-65 ETSU home win. Gulfcoast enjoys an up tempo game and should look to push at home. Seven of their last ten overall have beaten this number.

Gulfcoast started 0 for 9 from the floor. Only plus is they might wind up parading to the FT line here in the 1st half with both at 6 team fouls at the midway point. I'd call 50 points at the half a miracle right now though.

                                      2.5.11 (4:00pm ET) NORTHEASTERN-HOFSTRA OVER 137 [-110]
Both teams have been giving up a lot of points lately with Northeastern yielding 70 ppg over their last five while Hofstra is giving up 77 ppg in their last five. Northeastern has been shooting the ball well in that stretch at almost 49% and their three point shooters should have a chance to excel today as Hofstra is giving up almost 42% from beyond the arc in their last five and 38% on the season. The Huskies have been struggling for points on the road all season, but have still seen OVERs hit in three of their last four and seven of 12 overall. Hofstra at home puts up about 71 ppg. Both teams are solid at the stripe which should help give this a chance if they can get enough opportunities.

Cornell's road defense has been iffy most of the season with the Big Red giving up 70 or more in five of their last seven. That should mean a solid Brown club can put up points today. Brown averages 79 ppg at home on a stellar 50% shooting. The Bears have scored 80+ in four of their last five at home. Defensively, Brown gives up 74 ppg due to their up tempo style. Cornell is not a great scoring club, putting up 65 ppg on 40% shooting on the road. Howvever, they have hit for 70 or better in three of their last five away from home. Brown's home games this season have averaged almost 152 points with only two of their eight home dates not beating this number.

                                              2.5.11: (8:00pm ET) TEXAS TECH-TEXAS OVER 143.5 [-110]
Tech's defense is awful on the road, 90 ppg on 49% shooting. Texas puts up 79 ppg on 47% shooting at home, so they should be able to at least get somewhere in the middle and into the 80s. Tech's offense is generally solid with 75 ppg, but they will be pressed by a superb UT defense that allows just 58 ppg at home. I think if the Red Raiders can find a way to get 58 or past 60, the Longhorns should run up the score and do the rest.

I do not doubt Butler will score 75-85 points. But what concerns me is, will
Illinois put up enough to complete the over. Gota think Butler scores 80. Means only need 60 from the other squad...they've shown some 55 point games against bad squads...will butlers defense keep Illinois from doing their part in this 139 point OVER?

Butler has been pretty giving defensively. Only two teams below 60 in their last eleven. If they get 60+, I think this one has a real good shot.

Mason has been a solid OVERs club on the road this season, hitting OVERs in nine of eleven away from home. They average a robust 77 ppg on 48% shooting on the road and have scored 80 or better in three of their last four. Wilmington puts up 67 ppg at home and rarely has layed a clunker as they have hit 64 or more in six of their last seven at home. They are coming a season-best 91 last time out against William & Mary. They'll be challenged by Mason's defense, by the Colonials give up more on the road - 68 ppg compared to their season average of 61. They have yielded 60 or more in nine of 12 on the road. The first meeting between these two @ George Mason was an 80-52 Mason romp. Wilmington gets a couple reserves back from suspension tonight and has hit OVERs in four of their last five at home. Should know if this has a chance by tracking the FT opportunities for George Mason. When they are aggressive and get to the line, they usually score quite a bit.

Amazingly they allow almost 50% from distance as well! The Cowboys haven't allowed less than 72 points in their last seven straigh away from home and have allowed 78 or more in four of those. New Mexico is mesmerizing at home, nailing 47% of their shots for 79 ppg. The Lobos have topped 70 points in ten of 12 at home with 75 or better in nine of those. Both teams have scuffled a bit with defense lately, Wyoming allowing 48% shooting in their last five and New Mexico yielding 45% and 65 ppg in that same stretch. New Mexico is usually tough to crack at home [60 ppg/38% shooting] but Wyoming isn't much better than that to begin with on the road [60 ppg/39% shooting]. New Mexico has allowed at least 60 at home in five of their last six and that's kind of the magic number I'm looking for tonight. If Wyoming hits 60, New Mexico should do the rest. OVERs have hit in six of the last nine Lobos' games and Wyoming roadies have beaten this number in four of the last six.
