When Pat Hill became Fresno State's head coach prior to the 1997 season, he wanted to reinvigorate San Joaquin Valley pride in the Bulldogs. Because Fresno State is the only Division I football program in the Valley, a 250-mile stretch in California's midsection from Bakersfield to Modesto, Hill wanted to make the Bulldogs the "Green Bay Packers of college football." As Coach Hill often states, Fresno State is not only representing Fresno, its representing the entire Valley.

This representation of the San Joaquin Valley is displayed in the form of a green "V" on the back of the Bulldogs' helmets. The green in the "V" is a symbol to the agricultural community of the Central Valley, which is the world's richest agricultural area in export dollars.

I just hate to see you lose on a game like this. I wish I would have known before hand that you were thinking of going big. I did think fresno st would win the game, but i also knew it would be predicated on fresno st stopping NIU. But I also feel bad I helped talk you out of the Pat's game so I dont know if you really want us to talk you out of some of the plays. Anyway we win some and lose some.

no Harlee its cool really. i found the stats i wanted for that pick and didnt try to find the ones that went against it. i was playing with pure profits so its not not like this game does anything more than hurt my spirit... just so you know i was punching in the Iowa game for $200 but it was too late to accept it so enjoy your winner. I'm all in tonight on other games but if you guys think about it...Murray St might be a 2nd half play, I haven't looked at the line so I don't know but Western Kentucky is 55.6% from the field and 50% 3-pointers along with 13 turnovers...there's no way they shoot like that in the 2nd half
