Used to do this at the Race track before internet betting came along. Parley the first or second favorite of each race to show for all nine races (or less) for $50. I would often win $500 or more for the day doing this.
-400+ Experiment. $100 to $1000 in ten plays

#638Whats up fellas.. nice day for us all it looks like
Happy for this to be the people's thread, i think we're all a little different in our approach with picks and banking so it would help us all find the winning formula. I can't post as much during the day now beacuse of my new job so if you guys keep this thread bumped all the better... especially if we keep banking!

Fun stat time, in the 25 wins Gasquet has had on hardcourt in the last 12 months, he has won 24 first sets, of those 24, he has played one tie break and one has gone 7-5. Yes, this is what i'm basing my play on

#641Someone must be tailing you at 5dimes cause Gasquet is now -950. I'm guessing alot of degenerates, possibly myself... cruise around these forums and bet at 5dimes. Alot of times I'll see a tennis pick- and notice the odds quickly shift if there is a popular thread on these forums. And since it happens time and time again- it is a good natural assumption to assume this.. which is probably correct cause it happens too much too often.Originally posted by ugaboogaFinal scores:

Another good example... EaglesPhan who is a decent capper at tennis showing some small profit right now. Don't know how he was last year- but when he put up his Llodra pick it was at -125. Then it went to -135 and now it's at -150. Just check all the popular late night threads... wait for someone to post something- then check the chalk at 5dimes swing. Happens a lot in direct correlation with popular posts.Comment -

#643Hey uga, what about the Miami Heat tonight against the over the Knicks at -450? They have a few things going for them:
- They are at home where they are 14-2.
- Miami has had a day off and the Knicks played last night against the Hawks.
- The Knicks still won't have some decent role players in Bill Walker and Iman Shumpert.
- The Heat have won the past 7 games by at least 10 points.
- The fact that Wade, who is one of the best on-ball defenders in the game, might cover Lin.
- Especially with the game being nationally televised on TNT, I think LeBron and Wade want their share of the spotlight back from Lin. They are going to come out proving that they are still a notch above him and have America start talking about them again instead of Lin. They love their attention.Comment -

#646Do they have a line up for the second half? I have been keeping some data in Excel for this year and Underdogs have better win percentages in the first and second quarter than the third and fourth. Just thought I would let you know. #651first halves are really tough...it seems like the big underdogs always come out swinging in the first half and get blown away in the 2nd...as a matter of fact, the heat played the lowly kings just the other night and were losing in the 1q, and only up by a couple i believe at half...i think the heat will win this game, and probably even be winning at half, but im just not sure enough to lay my whole bankroll on it but BOL!Comment -

#662For tomorrow, I'm liking some hockey later on with the Avalanche +1.5 over the Columbus Blue Jackets at -320. The Jackets are awful, the Avs are 12 games better, and the Blue Jackets just traded away their assistant captain and one of their best players in Jeff Carter. I can't see the Jackets winning by 2 in this game.Comment -
