76'ers/Grizzlies under (180) 1x (Locked)

I would like to wait out a better number, but wont have time at work to watch the lines and I expect a closer under 180. Here are some quck thoughts on this play. The refs are not the best with rush, but we do have jones who favors the under and anderson is neutral. Plus, neither offense is great at drawing fouls with philly ranked 30th and memphis 16th in FT/FGA. I also worry that philly's defense is not as stout on the road, but there is a reason the books are adjusting ten points in favor of the under when compared to last season. Memphis has slowed its pace oflate and is currently ranked 17th to philly's 25th ranking. Both teams are top ten in DEFF and the strength of these defenses will be opposing the strength of the offenses. Philly will key on gasol and seek to shut him down inside in order to force memphis into inefficient jump shots. Philly is top 5 defensively in both points in the paint and spot up defense so I expect memphis to have tough time on offense today. Memphis likes to score in transition off turnovers but philly is #1 TOV% so I dont expect too many easy transition points for memphis. Likewise, gasol's inside presence should force philly into a spot up game where memphis' perimeter defense can give them trouble. I expect this game to result in a low scoring, slow paced slug fest. I have this game set at 177 giving us 3 points of value after the total dropped from 181.5 almost immediately at open despite 70%+ on the over. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

Trail Blazers (-4) 1x (Locked)

I took this play without having the information about Duncan and Parker because the Spurs were
already thin and this is bad spot for the Spurs. However, with this new information, that makes this play infinitely better. Unfortunately, this is the NBA, and in situations like this back-up players tend to play above their head and these types of games are competitive. Let's hope that Portland does not embarrass themselves and win this game comfortably. Good luck.

not sure if anyone remembers.... a month or so ago, SA was down double digits to Dallas after the third. Pop played the 2nd team the entire 4th quarter and they were able to tie the game and send it in to ot.. He kept them all in throughout ot, but dallas was able to prevail...

All this to say... I hope those backups dont play with that same heart tonight

Kings/Wizards over (200.5) 1x (Locked)

My biggest regret in awhile is not playing the over between Sacramento and Miami last night. That was my third strongest rated play on my card, but I backed off because of the line movement. In this case, I think the line says it all. Neither team has opened with a total this high but in a few situations all year and I think the oddsmakers expect a high scoring game in this matchup. Despite having this set at 204 myself, I had expected the oddsmakers to open this under 200. When I saw an opener between 200.5 and 201, we still have value but the over lean is validated. Both offenses are ranked top 10 in PACE, possessions per game, points in paint, fastbreak points and fastbreak efficiency. Both defenses are the weakest of the weak and rank bottom 10 in those same defensive categories, plus DEFF, TS%, EFG%, etc. I just don't expect either team to have any desire to play defense in this game and instead simply look to pad their stats with some "streetball." In addition, with Isiah Thomas' insertion into the Kings' starting lineup, I think we see both him and Wall battle it out in an up-tempo game where both point guards push the ball up and down the court. I have this game set at 204 giving us over 3 points of value. I think we could see this one going up tomorrow morning to the 201-202 range, so I am going to lock it in now under that key number of 201. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the over for 1x.
