Hey, yeah i'm new to the gambling stuff, I normally only bet on UK football as its a sport i'm familiar with, even then its dodgy. I have started gambling with a few NBA and NHL games but only doing ML.No. Roll with it. If it moves to -2 or more, just look at it as you getting a good number. You must be a rookie? Gambling is not for the weak hearted. Roll with it and good luck. I grabbed it at -2 earlier, then the number went back to -1.5. I think this is a smart play.

Couple questions for you LTA.
Why did the HOU total drop from 203 to 200?
And why is ATL moving from -2 to -1 yet the public is pounding them. I agree that it is a great spot for ATL, but I think PHX wants it just as much as ATL does after blowing that big lead to GS a couple of nights ago, and then getting blown out by Denver.

The question is where they will close. As you learn more about the NBA, you will experience the rubberbound effect of line movement where a total opens at 203, drops to 200 and then closes at 204. NBA totals are markets are very volatile for a number of reasons that I don't have time to detail.
With the Suns game, I think there is a lot of Suns love over the resting of Nash and Hill last night and the idea that such rest will miraculously make them a better team than they have shown to date. I guess we'll find out in a few hours, but I tend to think if Atlanta brings their A-game, they should win and cover. This is primarily a quantitative play for me as my model loves Atlanta tonight and I think there are enough qualitative factors to support that play.
Is there "sharp" money on Phoenix? Sure. But there's also "sharp" money on Atlanta and I agree with Hawks backers in this one.
