I don't know if he was known for doing cheap shots or not, but I distinctly remember one huge cheapshot he did. Threw Nash to the ground with a forearm in game 4 of 2007 playoffs, then threw a forearm into Bells throat. Diaw and, more importantly, Stoudemire get suspended for game 5, and the Suns narrowly lose, then lose game 6 as well to get knocked out of the playoffs that year.

Sad stuff about his daughter though.

Yeah but he's not the only guy to have ever thrown a cheap shot now is he...? To create some sort of undertone that the event of his daughter dying and his on-court behaviour is some kind of 'karma' is pathetic. Why even create such a weak attempt at controversy, especially against a guy who's just suffered one of the greatest losses of all???

Even though I never liked any of the teams Horry played for, his nickname is still big shot Horry to me. That guy was one of the clutches players of all time with the game on the line. Sad to hear about his loss. I know I had a hard time coping with the death of my dog. I couldn't imagine losing a child at such a young age.
