Cha-ching! We pick up one unit as the half ends 47-48 and the Pacers cover the +3 spread.

                        One more play left pending.

2-0 on the night and we pick up 3 units!

Lakers defeat Hornets as we win our late game and pick up another two units. Because this was a ML play, it will not be added to our official w/l record.

so what? I kill the books every freaking day. Can your spread play even come close to matching my record? Today I was 19-1 up something like 30 units in NBA. I also had a parlay of Seattle ML and Seattle / New Orleans OVER which paid +950. How many units were you up today with your spread play?

I get so sick of hearing this ******* stupid argument that money lines are somehow inferior to spreads.

I'm saying you can't compare winning percentage when your playing mostly favorite ML compared to people playing all spreads. You can certainly compare +/- units but winning percentage is not comparable. I was 2-0 betting spreads today actually

That's stupid. So, if some crackhead is +60% playing spreads and I am +85% playing money lines, some of them dogs, some of them small favs, and some of them big favs you are saying that my record means nothing? That is stupid.

I don't see what bet size has to do with anything.

Let me think about what a good way is to evaluate a spread w-l record to a money line w-l record.

Do you mean that celtic's unit size is 5 figures while mine is only 4 figures?

(Because most of the people who read posts on SBR are mentally deficient, I have to explain that 4 figures means from $1,000 to $9,999 and 5 figures means from $10,000 to $99,999.)

I mend to say that i doubt that he would have a play of 30 or 40 units size as often as you, and his 1 unit might mean lager bankroll %. For Example Celtics entire BR could be just 100unit in this case 1 unit = 1% whereas your is most likely much bigger and therefore, comparing unit gain would not accurately evaluate BR's growth.

Evaluation Spread W-L record to a ML record can be a good idea as well though.

He left out the most important part and that is the reason I asked him to stop posting plays. He is now negative for this NBA season and has dropped close to 40 units in a month and a half. He has increased his bet size and is resorting to desperate tactics (posting 6 plays in one night). This behavior is costing his followers additional units. He is also keeping his record for this season private and posting his full 2010 record which is very misleading in the present. The responsible thing for him to do is either stop posting his plays altogether or be transparent and post his record with units.
