The Cavs win in Game 3, IMO, was largely a product of Lebron pushing away all the chatter about his injury. He stepped up and played at his absolute best and that motivated the other Cavs to give the same level of effort. The Celtics just weren't prepared for that intensity from the start, and by the time they recovered it was too late.Originally posted by williams22
But that big game mentality is really tough to maintain for multiple games in a row on your opponent's court (for an entire team that is.. I know Lebron can do it) and the Celtics aren't the Hawks. Boston has a lot of pride and will come back today with high intensity, so I'm expecting them to push hard in the 1Q. They are, after all, a very good 1Q/1H team at home.
If I was Boston, I would focus on shutting down Jamison inside and take the body to Shaq early, trying to get him in foul trouble and make him less effective later in the game. Lebron is going to go off for 30+ either way. Mo Williams has not been effective as a perimeter shooter, which is where he needs to be operating for the Cavs to play their highest level game.
Additionally, I find the line suspicious. Cavs are a +1 dog for Game 3 with Lebron's health up in the air but only -1.5 when he's just proven that he's 100% ready to play? The difference between these two lines is so small that there's not much of an effect on the game outcome, but it gives the appearance of giving more respect to the Cavs. It's still basically a pkComment -
