Live betting is amazing, hands down. The middles are often too tempting to pass up. My favourite though, is definitely evading the huge MLs through live lines. I'm always confused by people that don't see the value in it, but then place huge value on line shopping for a difference of pennies...Comment -

I've been betting live in soccer also, it's pretty damn good if you have a feel for the sport/teams. I don't think books have the same advantage pre-game than they do live.Comment -

You think the books have the advantage live? I totally disagree. Live betting effectively requires some work ahead of time and a very good understanding of what line you want and how much it's worth to you. Pre-game, the books can set the line wherever they want, but during the game they're forced to post lines that are reflective of the current score/tempo, even when they don't always align with their predictions of the final score.Comment -

Orlando Magic (series) (-110) x12
While I'm not completely ruling out the Celtics winning the series, I still really think the Magic will take it. This seems like the ideal time to buy the Magic series price at only -110. The likelihood of Boston taking a stranglehold on the series tomorrow is very low in my opinion, and the chances of Orlando performing so far below their talent level again in this series is even less likely...Comment -

Quick question for you SK......I am new to betting 1Q and 1H lines. My pick today is Orlando to come out hot and get an early lead on Boston, however I was surprised the line was so high at -2.5 (-120) on my two sites. I was thinking the 1Q or 1H lines would be exactly 1/4 or 1/2 of the overall line, respectively (e.g. Full game line is -4, so 1Q line is -1 and 1H line is -2).
Is it normal for a line like Orlando -2.5 in the 1Q, which is equivalent to Orlando -10 for the game, despite the fact the line is only -7 or -7.5? Should we infer that Vegas agrees with Orlando's 1Q advantage based on the fact they inflated that line to -2.5?Comment -
1Q lines are typically about 30% of the game line, and the 1H lines are about 60% of the game line. 2.5 is right where it would typically sit on a game spread of 7.5. Below is the table I created as a quick reference for myself this season. Hope it helps.
