Ridiculous narrative that Ibaka's return flips things to OKC's favor
Mates, perhaps it's a given in today's incessant 24/7 talking head news cycle that whatever #HOTSPORTZTAKE!!! of the day emerges, we'll be beaten over the head with it until becomes "common knowledge" to an extent.

Latest example: "OMGZZZ!!! IBAKA'S RETURN PUTS OKC IN THE DRIVERS SEAT!!! I MEAN WHEN THEY HAD HIM ALL SEASON THEY CLEARLY WERE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WEST AND EARNED THE NUMBER ONE SEED FOR A REASON!!!

Umm, no. The Spurs are the better team regardless of Serge Ibaka's status. Hence the number one seed, cruise control by March, and the fact that just 2 days ago these same media assholes were writing off OKC as toast. Anybody with a brain knew that OKC wasn't going to drop 2 at home and anybody with a brain knows that Game 4 is going to be a war. But this narrative that OKC is right where they want to be now, and that SAS had better cling to home court with every fiber in their old grizzled bones is complete and utter bullshit.

Spurs take a hard fought game and you'll have a feeling that they're going to take it though out much of the game tonight even though it will likely be close.

SAS by 7 in a "holy shit, Popovich is so much better than Brooks and how do we keep underrating Tony Parker so often?!?!" special.

You have some valid points but OKC is 5-0 this year against the Spurs with Ibaka playing.

    He helps.

Also, The only reason the Spurs got the one seed was BC Wesrbrook was injured a huge portion of the year. Still, They barely edged out OKC despite that.

Lol at your reasoning that they're better BC of the seeding. Is Indy better than Miami?

All trends point to OKC winning but I can't help but think that if Spurs' best player Tony PArker (yes, tony parker) plays his best they will win. Not even talking about covering the short line, talking about winning outright.

what does that mean .... when Brooklyn won all the games against MIA then LOST in the playoffs.
        Spurs will win this series.

OKC is now 6-0 against the Spurs with Ibaka playing.

Still think he has no impact?

There is no way the OP believes Ibaka impact is not huge. He cannot be that stupid. He was just trying to motivate himself that he made the right play, that is all.
