Anyone else really liking Magic -10 tomorrow? I know it's a square play, but I have a hunch I've been overthinking too much so far. The Magic are just too deep for the cats, who aren't even a good road team. Magic should take care of business..the only thing that scares is me that Larry Brown can outcoach 75% of coaches in the league. I just can't think of how the cats are gonna contain Howard though..

Baseball is the hardest sport to gain success? I don't know shit about baseball, but what I do know is that NBA players are the best pure athletes in the world. And it's probably the hardest to win in the NBA, because it's about talent and heart, and upsets rarely occur in the playoffs. That's why so many teams have yet to win an NBA championship because most of the time, you need a top 10 player in the world if your going to have a chance.

LB, I'm glad to see you learned some money management

Good luck for the rest of the playoffs, can't wait to make some money brotha. I know you like L.A. tomorrow and I'd have to say I agree. I don't see the Thunder being able to handle it tomorrow... first playoff game ever for these guys and it's on national tv against the lakers.

its the only sport where you fail and your considered doing good.

Hitting the ball one out of every 3 attempts .333 batting average is considered outstanding. MLB is all about team accomplishment you put Lebron on any team in the playoffs and they go to the championship. Very individual sport

What are you talking about bro? Lebron has only been to the finals once in his 7 year career. D Wade has only been once. And Kobe failed to make it passed the first round even when he had one of the best seasons in NBA history (he outscored an entire team after three quarters of play, Kobe had 62, the mavs team had 61), 81 points in a game. D Wade and Lebron are 2 of the 3 best in the world and only 1 ring between them in 7 years.

Tmac was the best scorer in this league at one point and hasn't gotten past the first round. You need a team to win. An example is when Kobe and the Lakers lost it two years ago to a celtics team with veterans that just had more heart.

Guys we're talkin about a guy who was up around 200 units at one point... the only reason he fell back a little was because of the shit stretch of games during the last couple weeks. +150 units is nothin to sneeze at fellas.

Goat I wouldn't say they had more heart. I think it simply came down to purely basketball. They played some incredible team defense and shut down Kobe.

Ok soccer players have endurance homez, they're very skillful. Hockey? Hockey? HOCKEY?! You did not just compare players like Crosby, Ovenchkin, Nick Lidstrom, Zetterburg, to players in the NBA. Come on bro, these guys where pads and it's all about your skill with the puck and the way you skate.

Lebron is easily the best athlete in the world. He could have played in the NFL, MLB, NHL, and dominated all if he wanted. Were talking ATHLETICISM, not skill, pure athletes bro.

Athletes in the NBA have less body fat percentage than any other sport. You know Jordan was like 2-3% body fat at one point right? I bet Crosby and hockey players are at least 10+. Athleticism is a combination of strength, speed, and vertical. Hockey players probably can't even dunk. NBA Players dominate all those categories.

they played dirty defense and cheap shots on kobe, and when kobe passes the rest of those softies can't contribute

T wiz, they won that ring with heart. The shut down kobe with determination, focus, and heart. Talent-wise, Boston was outmatched.

goat you are talking like nba players are the be all and end all. tell those clowns to put on some skates and try playing hockey. tell them to run 4 miles on a soccer pitch.

nba players cant even skate guy lol

look at jordan he was so good at basketball but couldnt play baseball

nba players are good at what they do but they arent the best athletes in the world just cause they are cut and have muscles. an athlete is about endurance and being able to surivive thats why usa sports have so many timeouts cause these fukks need a rest every 2 minutes. dont say its for commercials please.

Of course bro you know how tiring ball is running up and down 90 ft on every possession, attacking, the physicality of it all, grabbing rebounds, it's a different kind of endurance. A NFL player wouldn't have the endurance to play in the NBA, but an NBA player would have the endurance to play in the NHL.

Obviously, it's going to be hard for an NBA player to play hockey/skate if they've never done it before. Rip hamilton and ray allen can easily run 4 miles on a soccer pitch. Rip runs a mile in under 5 min, which is great for someone thats 6'7.

If I thought they were the best athletes because they're cut and are beasts, then I would have said NFL players are the best athletes in the world.

Jordan sucked balls at baseball, I bet half the ppl in this forum could hit better than him, and he still made it to the MLB.

Athleticism is a combination of stength, speed/quickness, and your vertical. NBA players dominate all of those categories. They're quicker than any other athletes, faster than any others outside of a few positions in the nfl (and track runners of course), stronger than any other (outside of some nfl- no i'm not talking toughness- that would go to hockey players and isn't part of athleticism), and the vertical is a no brainer.

I don't suppose any non-Australians/NZ'ers have watched rugby union or rugby league....alot of those guys wud shit on basketball players in alot of athletic aspects....no ad's in those sports to have a long sit down on the bench, games only have minor breaks (ie. no time for any ads)....most players play an 80min game (40min each half).

Oh yea, and they're both full contact....

Obviously, Lebron can't make it to the MLB now or maybe hit those pitches, but if he grew up playing baseball and stuck to it more than basketball, he'd be a great baseball player. Imagine if Lebron played hockey growing up. Are you shitting me? A 6'8 270 pound train that would be the fastest skater in the league coming at you full force? He would dominate those punks, they would try to check him and they would fall down.

Size dont mean shit Lebrone would have .21 seconds to react to a 90 mile per hour fastball, not to meention a buckling curveball or a changeup that looks like a fastball coming out of a pitchers hand. The mind has to first process if the ball is a strike or not, where to position your hands etc....

Players like Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen would easily survive in soccer because they take pride on never standing still and always moving around screen. These guys run marathons. They would obviously need to train before they hit the pitch, but they could do it. And it's not like soccer players are "running" 4 miles, it's more like jogging.

                                                                        LakerBoy,
