The Lakers experience and Kobe's ability to take over down the stretch will be the difference in this series. Lebron made too many stupid decisions and Mike Brown didn't make any adjustments from game to game. Phil Jackson WILL NOT get outcoached by Van Gundy. I say Lakers take it in six games.
You got that right! Van Gundy?!?!?! You mean Ron Jeremy??? Hahahaha.

what makes the Lakers harder than the Cavs for the Magic.... the only real difference is having an actual Big Man who can score and rebound in Gasol.... Lakers wont have the match ups... Magic in 7 for me...
Lakers have less reliance on Kobe to score 40pts to win...have a look at Cleveland...Lebron had "all time" series performance yet could not get his team over... why because they dont have someone who can step it up at both ends like Lebron to help out.... Jordan had Pippen remember... who could carry some of that offensive load.... Mo Williams was supposed to be that man... however could not live up to the mantle.... and Lebron got no help from his others either... and they have so many small or just shooters.... and their defense could be very very poor... as we all saw

Lakers -6.
Cleveland had 1 guy and 1 guy only. More like the Cleveland Lebrons.
Lakers have Kobe and others. Odom, Gasol and have the better bench than Cavs did.

This thread has over 70,000 views!!!!!!!
Booked the following:
LA -2 1Q - 2 units
LA -3.5 1H - 6 units
I'm now leaning on staying off of the spread.
I'm thinking OR will keep it within 8 (as stated before), but just am not sure.
If I do play, it'll be a last min play with hopes that the line moves tomorrow in favor of my play.
Might also wait and see how the 1H goes, then play the 2H.

Bradyd, I will have to respectfully disagree with you. You make it sound like Mo Williams is a scrub and he certainly isn't. If you watched the Cavs play, then you should know that Williams and West are legit players. IMO, I think West can be an All-Star in the future. The dude is a gamer. Obviously, this team wasn't crappy because to win 66 games is a heck of an accomplishment and not one player can do that by himself. The other players for Lebron stepped up during the regular season but during the playoffs, the Cavs were exposed. The Magic were just the better team and the Cavs had it way too easy in the first two rounds with the Pistons and Hawks. Here's a statement that should garner some interest and debate. If Kobe loses a series and his supporting cast doesn't step up, then Kobe gets the heat. For Lebron, his supporting cast got the heat. Lebron is loved by everyone, including the media. They will not harp on him one bit. No, Lebron's maturity level is not the same as Kobe's. Lebron's decisions at the end of close ballgames should be enough to notice that he is still young and the mental aspect of the game hasn't come to him fully yet. Of course he's bigger and stronger. He was just built like that and you can't control that. You point out that Kobe is the better closer and to me, THAT is what it comes down to. If I can't trust the best player in the closing seconds with the game on the line, then does he really deserve that title? I can certainly trust Kobe at the line or if he has the ball at the top of the key with 10 seconds and his team down by a point. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Lebron just yet.
Finally a real debate! Mo Williams is not a scrub in my book, but he is not worthy of being a second option. And Lebron makes a lot of his teammates look better than what they really are. He looks for players more to get them involved. In the Orlando series, yes Orlando was the better team. Lebron basically had to do it all. Nobody really stepped up. And yes I think he team is crappy. Not Kings crappy, but still no where near a championship caliber team. (Usually that is what 66 wins mean)
I don't like getting into MVP's a other trophy's like that, but I do think that Lebron is a better player. Not by a lot, but he edges Kobe out. And as with being a closer, I said that Kobe is a better closer not that Lebron is a bad closer. And the way I see it, making your teammates better ranks right up there with being a great closer. And sure Lebron makes some mistakes, but good grief what about Kobe during last year's finals?? That's a pretty big stage to choke on. They both make about the same amount of bad decisions, in my view.

Considering the final is not the highly anticipated Kobe v. Lebron, the press needs to push the Magic as a powerhouse to get the public excited about it and maximize ratings.

*This is my last time responding to you, you are too much of a homer and it shows when someone disagrees with you*
Yeah, I'm a huge Lebron fan and you can tell by all the nice things I said about him. You know, I said he was a sore loser and that I even like Kobe better than I do him. Gosh it's so clear how I am a huge Lebron fan. lol On a more serious note, I am a huge jordan fan and I can give you countless reasons why Lebron, Kobe, or anyone else will ever compare to MJ himself. But one thing that I won't do it lie and state how good the 95-98 Bulls team was when in reality, the current Lakers team has more talent. Why did they win so much you may ask? Maybe because they had a veteran in Jordan, a pressure reliever in Pippen (he took just enough pressure off of Jordan), and guys who knew their roles. On paper, you wonder how that team got out of the first round. Oh and by the way, hardware doesn't always tell the entire story...

The Lakers lines were so over inflated against Celtics it was a joke and that is why The C's covered every single game and embarassed the Lakers. The reason is because LA is the biggest gambling draw for Vegas and everyone over values the Lakers. The real line for game 1 should be somewhere around 4.5, but if that was the line all the Laker homers would be all over the line and the action on the game would be totally lopsided. The books want 50% on one side and 50% on the other and they rake in the vig with no risk. You would do very well fading Lakers point spreads for the rest of your lives because they are always to high. I like Orlando to win this series because they have impressed me in these playoffs and although the Lakers match up fairly well against them, they still have no answer for Dwight Howard and he will have a monster series. Also, you bring your best players to play ball, if Jameer is ready to play then you put him on bench and since they really had no backup at point guard he would be a huge benefit even at 80% or so. The Lakers might win this series but it is not gonna be easy and anyone who says it is, has ZERO clue about basketball!!! This is gonna be one hell of a series!!!!
and you base this on how orl played in the regular season? playoff? thrashing of the cavs?
lakers will try to better themselves since this is the big show they have been waiting for. reg season is just a routine for them. we said it all, lack of motivation, passion, etc. well, its their time to wake up. and most that knows basketball will go for experience and thirst for the trophy and ring.

IMO, Mo Williams is a pretty good player. He was an All-Star this year and that doesn't come purely from Lebron setting him up ALL the time. I'm sure you understand that too. As said before, I really believe Delonte West could be an All-Star but he knows his role on the team. After watching him play vs Orlando, he's definitely a gamer. The Cavs didn't win 66 games for nothing and that doesn't mean they're crap. Mike Brown could have developed his bench in the first two series to get them ready for Orlando or Boston. I think the bench probably could have contributed more and maybe the series would have been a lot closer than it really was. Look at what you just said, Brady. I even mentioned earlier that if the Cavs lose no one will blame Lebron but instead pin it on his teammates. You just mentioned the fact that Kobe choked in last year's Finals, but wasn't it the whole team that collapsed in Game 4 at home? Kobe doesn't blow a 20+ lead by himself. It's team defense. I don't think they make the same amount of wrong decisions. I think Lebron's turnovers in the crucial moments of the game are magnified because a couple games during that Orlando series could have gone either way. The Cavs lost Game 1 by a point and Game 4 by two points. It's good to discuss things like because these debates are always fun and I'm understanding of your opinions.

I'm taking Lakers -6 in game 1.
I like the under too, but I'll decide later.
CK is the Lakers -6 just a regular bet for you or are you putting a little more on the line if I may ask?
I'm also reading a lot about the Magic taking both games this year and that they're better, the trend is with them, etc.
So lets all just bet Orlando and forget about LA.
Come on guys. Everybody likes the underdog, but Orlando isn't that much of a dog I think. The Lakers have home court advantage, experience, depth etc. to take this in as many games as it takes.
Just my 2 cents.

Ahh yes the FINALS!!! As I predicted a month ago. The Magic will win this series and here is why. The Lakers are a finess team. Gasol and Bynum are the keys to there wins or losses. Gasol WILL get shut down by the beast and game over. If they bring in slow ass Bynum, Gortat will hook and shoot all over his ass. So what does that leave LA, the perimiter. Who's shooting tose Kobe? Please. Can't ****ing wait to three there asses into next week. There is money to be made my friends as LA bites the dust. As I have said all through the finals I will gladly take all that LA juice. They keep giving this team no respect and I keep making money. Orlando +6 and ML
With that said Orlando after sitting usually comes out slow, but hell is the finals

There is no need to play it with the three points, but I am a purist when it coms to the playoff cheat sheet. I don't think that it's a good idea to deviate from what works. I want to keep my winning % high. Buying points enhances that possiblity.
