Today just happens to be my day off. I can for a quick moment post the plays until, again, Kev can do it. Cool? If not, I have my spreadsheet.

Edit: I will also be using Cover's closing line to determine Wins/Losses. I don't know how Kev does it. If you pick up a win using a different line than what I post, which happens to make the play a loss, you don't need to continue on....YOU won.

JM 7/5 Results

PS I am starting work on a version of the 7/5 method for On3's MLB homestand system. I ran a quick test through last years results and the initial impressions look good. More info on this as the MLB season approaches.

I killed all filters for 1-7-5. All series get played. You copy and pasted the 7/5 rules, my 1-7-5 system is in post#1562 of last year's thread.

Hi Guys,
I've reset the Morrison spreadsheet #s that I will be using to reflect that the #1 Cleveland game on 10/31 was unofficial (played before Nov 1). I accept that the actual game on 10/31 was on the road within their conference and that it needed monitoring for the possible official V1 on 11/4, but it was never an official V2 play. If you bet and won on 10/31, then good for you, but it will not be on my records.

Resetting the #s at this early stage was simple. PM me if you want to know how.

Morrison 1-7-5 System Rules

Extracted from a Wallco99 post last year:

1.We will play all JM series, with no 3 ½ point (A) bet filter, until we win series or take a loss on (C) bet, with the exception of the following cases: We will play no series that begin in October, or if our (A) bet pushes ATS, the series is over at that point and we will not continue on to (B). Any other situation, we play all series out.
2.If our (B) or (C) bet pushes, we will play the next game in rotation as our (B) or (C) bet that pushed then finish out the series on the following bet if necessary. At times, this may require the (C) bet to be played during a home game after the road trip, but no negative results have become of this strategy in the 10 year test.
3.We will include ALL the JM v1 bonus plays which become official in any series that starts in-conference and finishes with at least three consecutive out of conference games, provided ALL the in-conference games were lost by more than 3 points ATS, as per JM rules in his .pdf.
4.WE WILL PLAY ALL GAMES ATS AND NEVER BUY POINTS OR PLAY THE M/L.
5.We are playing to WIN 1 unit profit on (A) bets, 7 units profit on (B) bets, and 5 units profit on (C) bets. So the (A) bet wager will be RISK 1.10 units to WIN 1 unit. The (B) bet wager will be RISK 8.91 units to WIN 8.10 units (which is the amount we lost in (A), -1.10 units plus the 7 units profit for a (B) bet wager). A loss in this strategy will cost -26.52 unit

Morrison 1-7-5 (Filtered) Rules

Extracted from a thelimit0310 post last year:

The 1-7/5 plays all versions of the JM System. Originally the 7/5 method skipped the A bet, but this is no longer the case in the 1-7/5 (Filtered) method. We now play all A bets in the JM system, but we still *DO NOT* buy any points. Now when an A bet is available, we place a wager to win 1 unit, again not buying any points. If this A bet wins, of course the series is over. If the A bet loses however, it *MUST* lose by more than 3.5 points to the given spread to move on to the B/C level. If the A bet loses but by less than 3.5 points to the spread, you take your A bet loss and the series is over. Think of the A bet as essentially a flat bet, but also a qualifier game for the 7/5 system. If the A bet loses by more than 3.5 points to the spread, it qualifies the B bet. PUSHES DO NOT MEAN LOSSES. On the B bet, place your wager to win net 7 units (A bet loss + 7 units), again we are not buying points. If this bet wins, the series is over. If this bet loses we move to the C bet, on the C bet we place a wager to win net 5 units (A bet loss + B bet loss + 5 units). If this bet wins, the series is over. If this bet loses, the series is over and a loss for the system is taken. One loss in 1-7/5 is roughly -26 units, so plan your unit size accordingly.

Just remember if our initial A bet loses, it *MUST* lose by more than 3.5 points to the spread for the series to continue to B and C. If it does not lose by more than 3.5 points, you take your loss and move on! Again, this is because the A bet is still being used as the qualifier bet for the 7/5. Just so everyone is clear on this: If New Orleans has an A bet and the spread is +6, New Orleans would have to lose the game by 9.5 points at least for this series to move on to B and C. If they lose by less than 9.5 points, the series stops. PUSHES DO NOT MEAN LOSSES.

It is also important to note that no series can even qualify for this system before Nov 1.

Wallco 1-7-5 Bet Strategy For JM NBA (With NO (A) Bet Filters)

I have created the 1-7-5 strategy that I believe to be the most effective method at this time. As you can see, both 1-7-5 methods have outperformed the standard 7/5 and the 1-3-5 method. However, even though each 1-7-5 method has outperformed the other one 5 times each, the 1-7-5 with no filters appears to be stronger over the long haul, and highly more successful in recent history, including this current season to date as well. If you take away the current season, the two were pretty close, however the majority of the seasons that the filtered version did better was 8, 9 and 10 years ago. What really matters to me is recent performance, as well as longevity, and because 1-7-5 with no filters shows better results on both, I will be playing it this way all year.

My plays were based on the following criteria:

1. We will play all JM series, with no 3 ½ point (A) bet filter, until we win series or take a loss on (C) bet, with the exception of the following cases: We will play no series that begin in October, or if our (A) bet pushes ATS, the series is over at that point and we will not continue on to (B). These are just past track records of how different bet strategies would have performed in previous NBA seasons. Any given strategy in any given year can outperform the others, so it is the individual bettor's responsibility to use the provided information as he/she sees fit to guide them when placing any/all wagers. I am not saying that everyone should play it this way, but I personally feel the 1-7-5 no filter strategy is the most lucrative method and I will be playing it myself.

JM NBA bet strategy 10 year backtest
Here is the backtest I posted in last years thread for my 1-7-5 (No Filters) bet strategy. I will post 2013-14 results when I get a chance. The "Current Season" is what I was up at the time of my post last year.

That's right, I forgot how bad the systems did until I just rechecked. I forgot, I started fading it from Jan 9 til the end and recouped most of that loss. So I don't know what the actual number would have been if I played it out properly, I guess I will go with the figure that you arrived at, so as to not have to do a backtest of last season.
