Andy, why you on this one?

Honestly, gut feeling. With both teams struggling a little on offense the last few games both will be looking to turn that around asap i.e both teams concentrating on playing attacking hockey leading to scoring opportunities. It was only a couple of games ago Cal scored 14 goals in their prev 3 games. Goalies playing tonight also have 2.80 and 2.82 GAA.

i'm assuming in hockey's last post, "rags" meant the rangers, since theres only two puck games tonight. and the other game he is taking the over.

With the possible injuries/suspensions I am staying away from the total. Your looking at possibly CP3, West and Gay being out not sure there are enough people to pick up the points these guys provide.

Hockey, I'd like to hear your angle on the Rags? Likely they are still suffering the effects of the flu bug, are rotten on offense at the moment and playing a NJD who having lost last time out who need to get back on track at home. I smell another blowout for the Rags. Lundqvist also not officially confirmed as starting and I couldn't put money on them if they have to go with the alternative.

I looked at that game too andy. and, i am still learning hockey, I dont see the rangers winning this one. I also read that the flu was passing through the team, and that affects play in any sport - especially on the ice. NJD looks to be the much better team, and I also see them playing the revenge factor/taking advantage of a struggling team.

imo one of the reasons for the line movement is due to the likelihood of Ludnqvist starting tonight. I just like to point out that hockeytown knows his shit alot more than me which is why I was interested to have his take.

Does anyone else really wanna take Missouri tonight? I think there in a good spot here against Kansas, but 4 pts seems like a lot to have to give to a team that is undefeated in conference play so far this year and looks pretty damn good. Btw there is also a little bit of reverse line movement in this game.

Seems like the big thing today is "RLM". In the past few hours I have seem RLM mentioned more times than anything else. And it has bled into other threads. Funny thing is, I don't think some people understand how it works, as can be seen in other threads now. It isn't as huge as everyone seems to be making it out to be.

anthonydiamond, imo that kansas game is kinda risky. Both teams are good, but like you said, kansas is undefeated in conference play, and they are 7-1 ATS in conference. Mizz is undefeated at home, but they are only 5-2 ATS in those games. And honestly, the two teams they didn't cover the spread are not as good as kansas - even with kansas on the road (didn't cover 1 road spread in conference, but you can be sure they were'nt getting 4 points!)

If you have to take a team here, KANSAS plus 4 is the way to go.

Jaymac as for the RLM it wasnt just a RLM discussion I also made a post regarding the sharps. As you might know the sharps are the early bettors and they are the players who tests the lines before most books post lines and they adjust their lines according to the sharps bets...i think the smart money is the sharps who are the early bettors (as soon as the lines come out on a couple books that post early). For example the sharps already bet heavy on Toronto tomorrow...moving the line towards toronto 3 points in early betting against Minnesota..thats a very significant line movement. And thats before the general public even bets on the game as shown on sportsinsights.com....I just find it interesting since the sharps angles are profitable.

As i stated earlier there are no known wagers on NBA games tomorrow as of now and the line on the Greek (who comes out with the overnight lines the fastest) was Minn -1.5 and now after the first 15 min of wagering is Minn +1.5. Based on the sharps angle:

I keep seeing so much talk about the Clippers tonight on these boards today. There is way to much false hope in the clip joint right now. CK you can def make note that my clipper play is more then my Samford play. I know some people are riding heavy with the Clippers, however I'd rather let them prove me wrong then take a shot with a bad team on the road at the end of a long road trip.

I am sure there are a number of people on here who have made plenty betting against the Clippers when they were decimated by injuries, I sure did. I am willing to give them a chance tonight to show the last two games weren't complete flukes, especially when the Bobs are on a B2B and with a number of very significant injuries. I don't think anyone is thinking the Clips are the real deal just the angles tonight seem to be in their favour.

I was asked on an email about my use of a certain system that involves A, B, and C wagers and if so to what extent (i.e. the filters that I put on the system). I replied that i play all A wagers and then if that doesn't work then a occasionally will try a B. But the filter that I put on the system is that once the team has won their A game, then I will fade them the first opportunity that they have a back end of a back to back while still on the road. Obviously the Lakers just broke that trend going 6-0 on their road trip, and obviously I went against my own findings when i picked up my NBA book and looked at it and saw that I had the Lakers penciled in in that game as a no-play after the fact (showing my rustiness from my retreat). Also if the A game is an ats victory that comes at the expense of a .700 or better club and the road team has a record of .500 or less then I also fade them in their next game as well if the opponent is coming off of a loss and has .500 or better record.

Back to the basics of today's play. The 76ers are now -3.5 with a minority of bettors placing money on their side, which is a reverse line movement. Lucky me I have them at -2. Now let's see if they can get the job done.

Charlotte, which is anthonydiamond's pick has a tiny bit of rlm on it in favor of the Clips, but it is significant in the fact that the next closest key number (2) was passed up and the line has gone down to 1 now. Not shaping up that well so far, but one thing that I have learned over the years is that RLM is not always the only factor in all games...

Samford has a 50/50 split and i dropped only a half point from 2 to 1.5, surpassing the key number and dipping below. It means that this will be a nail biter just like the Charlotte game, bu at least both of these teams are at home, so that always helps the home team
