Lakers come into this game having blown a game to Washington and now just getting Bryant and Gasol back. It's clear that Bryant isn't 100% but even an 80% Bryant is a top 5 player in the league. The key matchup here is obviously at the PG position. Curry is not a guy that wants to attack you and use his speed so Nash should be able to do a pretty decent job on Curry tonight. This team can only win games when Curry knocks down the 3 ball. If the game gets really tight down the stretch, expect Bryant to be on Curry (if he really starts to heat up).
I'm more worried about Bryant having to chase Thompson off screens. Bryant has always been a guy that like to cheat when guarding screen players and they often get open looks because of some of his reckless decisions. The key to stopping the warriors is to shut the perimeter down -- specifically, with those two guys. If they can combine for only 4 5 3's, GS will be in trouble.
David Lee is gonna have his hands full with Gasol tonight. Gasol always thrives playing against shorter PF's. Lee does not have the wingspan to really both any of Gasol's shots. Problem is I didn't watch Lakers play against WASH so I don't know what his foot speed defensively is like. He is definitely the freshest out of everyone so there should be no excuses there. Lee is a brilliant passer out of the post but he has to know tonight that he should be the primary focus of the offense. I have a feeling that the Warriors won't go to him as often as they should and they will be playing perimeter ball.
Bogut is slowly coming into his own and before he went down was clearly one of the best centers in the NBA. However, he is really aggressive and with the Lakers now making a push to the playoffs, expect them to pound everything inside the paint and get to the line early and often. I expect Bogut to be in foul trouble early in the game as Bryant, Howard, Gasol attack the paint. Bogut should get a few open looks defensively but not too many. Dwight likes being a roaming defender most of the time but State is such a perimeter oriented team and their PG, despite being a step quicker than Nash, doesn't really like to attack the paint. Jackson is one of the best coaches in the NBA imo so not sure how he's going to scheme up this game but if the Warriors play like they do against everyone else I think they will be lucky to win this game.
World Peace and Clark will both see some significant minutes tonight with Jamison bothered by a sore wrist. Defensively, Artest should be able to contain Barnes, Jefferson, and whoever else he ends up guarding tonight. Artest is much slower than he used to be, and has no chance to guard anyone in the NBA with foot speed. Luckily, the warriors don't really have anyone at the 2 or the 3 that's quick with the ball off the dribble. Clark should see some time on Carl Landry and that matchup scares me a bit. Landry is a beast down low and Clark will need all the help he can get. Offensively, Landry can't really guard too deep on the perimeter however so if Clark knocks down his shots that matchup could essentially cancel out.
With the exception of Jack and Landry, you can't really trust anyone of the GS bench. R. Jefferson is good for a couple buckets. That's it. Jack relishes playing in these types of games. He's a better player than Steve Blake, should get the best of him, just have to hope for an off night. Expect Meeks to come in and guard Jack as well. Meeks is a solid defender and won't give you anything.
Many times, Jackson will have both Curry and Jack in the game at the same time. Expect Bryant to pick up one of those matchups and abuse one of those guys on the other end. When I say abuse I mean abuse. Bryant will get his at any moment tonight.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#1801Guys, WE MUST NOT SMOKE CRACK NAKED AND MAKE PICKS!!! SHIT LAST TIME i TELL YA PLAYER!!!! look this kind of info has my ex mother in law mad!!! this shit must stop at once!!Allow me the honor of giving you a brief lesson in Got milk Got milk's many incomprehensible attributes. Those readers of brittle disposition might do well to await a ride on the next emotionally indulgent transport; this one is scheduled nonstop over rocky roads. As soon as you're strapped in I'll announce something to the effect of how Got milk has reinvented himself as a crotchety pissant. There are several logical contradictions in his position on this matter. For example, if Got milk makes fun of me or insults me I hear it, and it hurts. But I take solace in the fact that I am still able to ensure that the values for which we have labored and for which many of us have fought and sacrificed will continue in ascendancy. Do not be fooled by those who extirpate the very things that I sincerely cherish. Such people are trying to prevent you from learning that the one thing that's central to all of Got milk's worthless ruderies is a desire to represent a threat to all the people in the area, indeed, possibly the world. I call this the New Irrationalism. The old irrationalism was concerned only with engaging in the trafficking of human beings. Although that was bad enough, Got milk keeps talking about the importance of his cause. As far as I can tell, his "cause" is to relabel millions of people as "pharisaical". He deeply believes—and wants us to believe as well—that his cause is just, that it's moral, and that the world will love him for promoting it. In reality, Got milk says that every word that leaves his mouth is teeming with useful information. But then he turns around and says that science is merely a tool invented by the current elite to maintain power. You know, you can't have it both ways, Got milk. The take-away message of this letter is that society as a whole should act as a unifying force to question authority. We should hold these words to our bosom, use them as a shield against Got milk Got milk's inequities, and wield them unilaterally against those who would present a false image to the world by hiding unpleasant but vitally important realities about Got milk's utterances.Comment -
