    If spurs go down early, I could see pop giving some of the players some extra rest. We saw what happened to timmy and the playoffs (and likely seed) is a lock. They are playing for nothing. Denver is playing real well plus the fact that Vegas wants us to bet on the spurs by throwing so many points at em.

    Denver is deep...but tonight, everyone will see just how deep the spurs are as well. Novak is perfect fit with spot up shooting, Neal is more than just a shooter and can drive yet people havent taken notice, and splitter will a hard nosed defender and rebounder and compliments blair well I think, hope to see them on the court at the same time

    Novak? You can't be serious. I think tonight will show just how much impact Duncan still makes. All the casual fans have been bickering about how SA doesn't play through him and he is old, his stats are down and he is not the same player he was once. We'll see tonight if him being out makes a significant difference. I think it does.

    Just a stat. Spurs are 33-25 life time regular season without Tim Duncan. He does matter, but they CAN win without him.

    Also this caught my eye:

    "The Spurs have won 7 of the last 8 games they've played without Duncan, and they enter this matchup having won 6 of 7 overall.They've won five straight over the Nuggets, including three this season."

    Denver is a new beast and will be a huge challenge for the Spurs, but it will be a good time to force feed their new stud Tiago Splitter.

    Vegas win both ways. Majority of the folks betting were either on Denver and on Spurs moneyline, imo. So no, the public the did not lose. About as even as it was going to get.
