Guy makes a few good points.

- Less points incentive to go for the win if in the top 10 already.
- More incentive to drive conservatively as a DNF will have a Much Much worse effect on your points position.
- More incentive for drivers outside the top 20 to fight for a top 20 place at the end.

I know that they wanted to "simplify it for the fans", but it really wasn't that hard to understand. I wish they would have tiered it somehow. Say, make a large dropoff between 5th and 6th, 9th and 10th, 19th and 20th. And the bonus for winning should have been an extra 10 points.

I hadn't considered the effect of 43rd paying so much less than before either. That guy is right that it will probably produce a lot more conservative driving from the top 20 in the last quarter of every race.
