It was all I had in Betfair.
Ever just take a hot favourite because it is there?

Ambrose over Almirola h2h - that's it!
GL with your bets and enjoy the racing. Im still looking at Milkwaukee race will prob just do win bet on Power. Was leaning Andretti cars but dont of the drivers seem happy.

Nice work on the Power bet. Man he killed em.
I went about 2-12 for racing bets this weekend.
Luckily I snagged a 20/1 parlay on Gordon win/Edwards>Kyle/Rahal>Wilson as my last bet of the day to save me from a full disaster.

Thanks mate, I def had no clue on that one... when in doubt go i'll just take the Aussie! Good to see him win I really hope he takes the title this year. I stayed up Sunday night watching EPL/NASCAR/Indy, and went straight to work after it finished. Really feeling it now...
We all go through bad runs, it will come good, just be real selective until the tide turns.

You're a beast. I was destroyed Monday after watching from MotoGp thru Indycar as well.
I did think about Power after reading an article on Speedcafe where he sounded ultra confident and determined that he needed that race for the title race too.
Don't know whats wrong with me, missed Dan in Hungary too. Have to get my loyalty back in place!

Havent had a chance to look at anything at all until today, I was thinking pre practice sessions that Williams could be a sneaky chance for pole but less so now after ive seen the practice times. Still taking Bottas and Massa for pole @ 0.25u each. Nothing else yet I think it will be the usual suspects.

I'm hoping for some rain for quali. Might try Dan if it is.
A bit damp there now for P3.

both looks pretty good at this stage. Personally, i think Mercedes engine teams will be hard to beat here, surprised Ricciardo & Alonso were so close on times.
Ill be keeping a close eye on how the weather will go between now and qualy before deciding if i have any more bets tonight.

I've been waiting to see the forecast before committing this race.
The chances of rain look low now, and at least half the teams compromised their qualifying setup in the wet yesterday in order to have a dry setup on for the race today.
Soooo... these picks are assuming it will be dry.
Sun 8/24 7701 Lewis Hamilton -130
8:00AM 7702 Nico Rosberg +110
Nico Rosberg. He has better tikes in all 3 sectors than Lewis this weekend. He also has his head in the right place whilst it is questionable how Lewis' mind is still I think. Rosberg appears to have mentally steeled as the team mate competition has built up. And continues to make no mistakes. It's a bit of a tossup over who might win but Rosberg should be favourite imho, so +110 is an easy choice.
Sun 8/24 7703 Sebastian Vettel -125
8:00AM 7704 Daniel Ricciardo +105
Vettel has continued his run of 'unlucky' mechanical issues all season into this race. Intially brake problems caused issues, then the ignition malfunctioned and fired one of his engine cylinders so he has had to revert to using the power unit from the last race in Hungary. These things are built to strict tolerances and should be good for another distance if they are using it at all. But the guy is snake bit and has also been beaten by Ricciardo in most sessions all year. Plus he has managed top 10s in the Torro Rosso car here the last 2 years which shows he knows how to drive this joint! Like the Merc matchup above, Ricciardo should be favourite. Grab the +105
Perez should win this matchup. But both will be starting far enoyhgh back to consider an alt tyre strategy, so I would not bet on this one until close to race time and only if one of them starts on the harder compound rubber whilst the other doesnt (take the hard guy if that happens)
Sun 8/24 7707 Daniil Kvyat -135
8:00AM 7708 Jean Eric Vergne +115
Like Kyvat here. he has been quicker that Vergne in all but 1 of the 6 practice/quali sessions so far and has 3 wins on this track under his belt in lower series.
Sun 8/24 7709 Jenson Button -125
8:00AM 7710 Kevin Magnussen +105
Jenson. Hoped he would be a dog given qualifying behind Magnussen. But public aren't fooled it seems.
Sun 8/24 7711 Romain Grosjean -230
8:00AM 7712 Pastor Maldonado +190
Who knows! have to take Pastor at those odds. It's toss up who will break down or crash first
Sun 8/24 7713 Sebastian Vettel -125
8:00AM 7714 Fernando Alonso +105
In the dry you HAVE to take Alonso here. I am tipping Alonso for a podium finish ahead of the Williams in the dry. Probably best head to head bet of the day at +105
Sun 8/24 7715 Valtteri Bottas -135
8:00AM 7716 Daniel Ricciardo +115
I hope I am not under estimating the Force India race pace... but Kyvat +100 seems like agift almost too good to be true to me
Sun 8/24 7719 Kimi Raikkonen -140
8:00AM 7720 Jenson Button +120
Big tossup. Kimi has looked far more comfortable in the Ferrari this weekend than he has all year. But this is an great track for both Jenson's style and the McLaren car. I would take Jenson +120 for the value only. No way -140 on Kimi is reasonable.
Sun 8/24 7721 Fernando Alonso +110
8:00AM 7722 Daniel Ricciardo -130
Alosno all day in the dry!!! Can't believe I like so many dogs so much! really like both Alonso to beat Red Bull cars if its dry.
Sun 8/24 7723 Esteban Gutierrez -185
8:00AM 7724 Max Chilton +160
God knows... clash of the useless shits. Couldnt back the Mexican at -185 and wouldn't back Chilton at less than +250
Sun 8/24 7725 Marcus Ericsson +105
8:00AM 7726 Andre Lotterer -125
If Ericsson can't beat the old age Lotterer on debut in an F car he should hang up his hat. (although the twop have been close on lap times in all sessions)
Sun 8/24 7727 Pastor Maldonado +135
8:00AM 7728 Adrian Sutil -155
Sutil.
Sun 8/24 7729 Kimi Raikkonen -150
8:00AM 7730 Kevin Magnussen +130
I think Kimi should take this, but not betting in him. Dont trust him still over race distance.
My straight Head to Head bets. Will add some of the others to make a couple of parlays before race time.
8/24/2014 8:00 AM Formula1 Motor Racing 7704 Daniel Ricciardo* +105 vs Sebastian Vettel
8/24/2014 8:00 AM Formula1 Motor Racing 7714 Fernando Alonso* +105 vs Sebastian Vettel
8/24/2014 8:00 AM Formula1 Motor Racing 7718 Daniil Kvyat +100 vs Nico Huelkenberg

8/24/2014 8:00 AM Formula1 Motor Racing 7003 N.Rosberg wins Belgian GP* +160 vs Field wins Belgian GP
8/24/2014 8:00 AM Formula1 Motor Racing 7718 Daniil Kvyat +100 vs Nico Huelkenberg
To pay +420
Top 6
Jenson Button +200
Top 10
Danil Kyvat +175
Fastest Lap
Perez and Hulkenburg both at +4000 are the logical choices. One or both will almost certainly go for a long first stint strategy and are more likely than most to have the speed and the chance of taking new tyres last.
The other car that appears to have good enough times in all 3 sectors and is starting outside the top 10 and may choose to run long as well is Kyvat at +125000
I'm a bit of dreamer so I have split my fast lap unit this way;
Perez .25u
Hulk .25u
Kyvat .5u
Good luck anyone who tails!

Gl though!

I stupidly tried to get $4.40 for Lewis to lead first lap when $4.20 was available and forgot to go back and grab the $4.20 if I needed to before race started.
Sorry about Lewis penetrate up.
