Guys Perth seems like free money, don't buy it. I don't like to throw around the word trap, but this is a trap. No doubt about it.

The play here is Cairns +3.5 at Pinny, even though I can only get it at + 3 right now I am hoping for +4 by tip off. I think it could get there.

If you have to bet the over or under and you want.

First Half over and second half the tempo will die down.

I will post my official play soon, If I do not reply again in this thread. Take Cairns + the points.

One thing I must point out before the line got released I thought it was going to be Cairns at least +5.5, meaning I should be all over Perth with the line, but my gambling instinct tells me otherwise.

I gotta agree with you GnP that this does seem like a trap... but looking more closely at it I think the line is where it should be.

Cairns was eliminated before playing TVL last week and they won. Cairns at home is 9-3 and although it was in October they beat Perth at home. Those are the type of figures that makes the average joe think that Cairns is really going to put up a good fight in this game. You know how people love to play the dogs as it seems nicer when they bet $20 to get $50 return instead of $30 return with picking the fav.

I know what you mean though as I've began playing the opposite when the line appears somewhat funny too. I just don't see this line as being too far off. Another point to consider is how hard Cairns will commit to this game. Are they going to give the reserve players more minutes to develop them? Are they going to dive on the floor for that loose ball? Will they take the charge? etc. etc.

I'm thinkng the Under is the play tonight. 163 seems really low but with their totals at 160, 143 and 147 so far this year one would expect something similar. The only difference is that Cairns might be playing loose tonight and not having much pressure on their shoulders they might be playing a more run n gun style without much developed play.

Haven't decided my plays as of yet and am still looking at all the variables.

hmmm just checked out TAB's lines (even though I rarely play it due to the juice) but these lines are interesting

Perth ML 1.57
Perth-2.5 1.85
Perth-5.5 2.05

I'm thinking that Perth ML at -173 (Pinnacle) is the play tonight.... but you could also say that Cairns-3.5 is the play too. I think the game will finish with Perth winning by 1,2 or 3 points.

I've got Cairns 1.62 ML from the NZ TAB. And this game does scream trap, however I've learnt to pull the trigger on game's that seem so much like traps that they're not. If you get what I'm sayin'. (Probably not..)

In an ideal world, we would all put our money on the better team Perth and win, and maybe tonight Perth may well win. Though I find it easier to back Cairns + the points then Perth.

You bring up a few good points.

1) Cairns Have No pressure on them -- This could mean they come out and play great, I just got a foreseigh that just told me the commentator are going to say something like " Where has this basketball from Cairns been this season ". BOOK IT.

Also the total is risky because Cairns may play different now they are out, If i had to make a play it would be a no play.

All and all I am not making a pick for tonight, BUT I put my units on Cairns + the points, take that for it's worth. Hopefully Cairns can make me some money. Actually I am still waiting for the line to hit +3.5. It hasn't yet on my book.

Thats cool I am going to go to Wollongong's game vs Gold Coast on Saturday. I think that's the game lol.
