kind of a trip report ,Made my 5th or 6th trip to Prairie Meadows in 20 years about a 1 hour drive or 1 and 1/2, last night crowd was good chilly night was long gone by the feature Races left after the 4th should have went later the first 3 were qh made a few bets for later disappointed how do i not look at Assumusen is the king of these races.prm is not a good track to vistit,Just a boring dirt track all concrete no good concessions you have to walk thru a weird corridor on inside to get to track.The 4th floor has a sportsbook and tv for the locals the restaurant area was packed upstairs similar to Remington.4 out of 10.Next time i go to a track will be Remington in August.Canterbury way better then both of these places!

find it interesting that jose ortiz chooses to ride this 2yo fts that looks like he doesn't belong here

R6 #3 bar fourteen (15-1)

R7 #1 into happiness (8-1)

not sure why ml maker thinks this one will go off this high ..probably be humbled when she does

thanks jelly and same to you..yes always interesting and purses are ridiculous at all levels especially allowance and msw's..saw you mentioned the weathe and it looks like there's some chance that'll be an issue tomorrow..hopefully at least the first half of the card will be ok

all based on good or fast dirt and turf races being not taken off it..looks like there's potential weather issues tomorrow

** humbled went off 7-1..good job by him.. more importantly he did win.. only mention the result because I wanted to compliment the ML maker.. not doing results

Nice hit in the 7th yesterday JB. I watched that first time starter win the feature. I also watched some other races and hate to see the small fields. GL today!!!!!

thanks pigpen ..came from the clouds doesn't do it justice lol..I feel in those type of races (2yo stakes) you can win with a talented well bred fts depending on how good the field is ..castellano did take the mount so says something about potential talent

came 4/9 did you not recommend a box there 46/1 shot scored. $208 ex. good call shades on trainer great with that move.

goes to show any horse is vulnerable to a bad start or trip..should always have a little something with the longie on top but I didn't recommend it..hopefully anybody who played did have it for a few bucks

valid assertion it's horse racing and bad starts and trips can derail a favorite no doubt. thx.

May I ask how you came about this one? I have #3 off last out. 3,6,9 only 3 with starts. All with some merit. I came away with #3. Impressive close and run out to me. Was left at start. #9 got bumped pretty good at break and ran strong to my liking. The 6, well, not sure but decent effort.

I have to believe the 3 improves upon her last start. Only thing I'm a bit curious about is the Jockey change. Ortiz on 3 in last now on 9? Not sure what that means??
