for me it was the type of line he ran and in addition the race he exited was extremely fast by figures.. I'd say at least 5-7 lengths if I could see the pars.. the top two finishers came back to repeat and possibly more further down.. the combination sets up for a good stretch out prep.. also as you said nice works after and steady works leading up.. wtf am I doing betting mine lol

I think that's low also.. it's one of those i like as a stretch prep line.. the rail in routes has been very bad there also.. always suspicious when asmussen (ml favorite) debuts a horse bred that well at a minor track

you have an asmussen firster with an elite pedigree running at remington.. a homebred that wasn't sold inexpensively at auction.. I try to stay away from those types as it seems too obvious and there's probably reason why he's not going at a major venue.. don't think it's that he wants the horse to have an easier assignment and not use him as hard (maybe it is?) the owner/breeder a long time in the game and wealthy.. the $20k - 30k difference in total purse means nothing to him imo.. guess there's no hard and fast rules how to handle these situations.. if a horse bred that well is a little off still can be enough to win at 2nd level tracks and of course he's (not sure if it's a he.. wouldn't matter to argument) up for sale..good pick
