side note: one mistake I made doing this contest is not making a bankroll limit.. this would discourage people (I'm guilty myself) from always or too often going in for the max.. next time it will be plays x 6
(avg bet).. so for this it would be 180.. personally I like the amount of plays but open to feedback.. maybe do this again for saratoga if you guys are interested

You already have a bankroll limit of $8/race. With what you are saying here that means now I can only bet $8 on half the races and must bet $4 on the other half to give a $6 avg. I think that’s stupid. Make 1 bankroll limit, either per race or total, but not both. Just my .02 worth.

what's the disincentive to not bet $8 on longshots. .whether it be 4WP or 8W. ..if you went 2 or 3 (WP) instead of 4 you won't take as big a hit roI wise..i'm just trying to prevent "what the heck i'll bet the max on this 15-1 ml"..that's not real world money management..but roi is a balancer I guess..maybe that's enough

I think you're right about that..when you lose 2-4 less when those bombers miss it will balance out in the end..per race and overall is too much

Since ROI is what determines the placing for contest, the total amounts bet should not matter. It’s how you manage that $8/race that matters. Especially if you fall behind. Do you bet $8W or $4WP on longshots, like you suggested? Or maybe even $2W $6P, like I should have done the other day with my longshot play. I would have had another $25.40 to my total. 3 wagers on the same horse can yield 3 different results depending on who managed their wager best with the $8 they have.
