The race before that, she earned a decent (for Fonner) sheet figure. Plus the trainer has good stats here. No. 9 Witts Mambo Jack cuts back in distance after two-mile races. No. 4 Scotia Queen hits the board often.

Ed Sehon likes #8 Passing Out (4/1 morning line). “This daughter of 2013 Kentucky Derby winner Orb makes her 4-year-old debut after a promising campaign on the New York circuit last summer vs. some top-notch fillies. Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey brings her back in turf mile after six steady works at Payson Park. Meet leading rider Antonio Gallardo picks up the mount. Wager: Win and box in Exactas with 2, 4 and 6.”

Tampa Bay Race No. 7 (4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT)

Dave Tuley likes #3 Coral Legacy (15/1 morning line). This $20,000 starter allowance for nonwinners of a race other than maiden, claiming or starter is pretty wide-open with no big standout, though the 5/2 morning-line favorite is Uhtred (who is 2-for-5) from the Christophe Clement barn. However, I have my eye on a former Clement trainee in Coral Legacy as he could show big improvement as a first-time gelding. In addition to that, I like the fact he was a losing favorite in his last race (which should help us maintain our price, especially since it was vs. cheaper claimers) and new trainer Roy Lerman is 33% with beaten favorites, so he usually places them well their next time out.

Tampa Bay Race No. 8 (4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT)

Ed Sehon likes #8 Never Forget (7/2 morning line). “This 3-year-old daughter of War Front returns to Tampa Bay Downs after being steadied and finishing fourth in maiden special weight dirt mile vs. tougher at Gulfstream a few weeks ago. Filly tries turf for first time as veteran owner-trainer combo of G. Watts Humphrey and daughter Vicki Oliver name Angel Suarez to ride. Wager: Win & Place.”

Dave Tuley likes three speed horses in this race with #2 Charge Account (8/1 morning line), #5 My Sebastiana (20/1) and #6 Shes One Mad Momma (15/1). None of the entrants in this 7-furlong race have won at the distance, so I see this as wide-open. #2 Charge Account is coming off a four-month layoff for her 3-year-old debut and could be the speed of the speed while #5 Sebastiana and #6 Shes One Mad Momma have sneaky early fractions. I’ll box the three in Exactas and Trifectas and I’ll bet any of them to win if they go off at higher odds than their morning-line price.

Oaklawn Race No. 6 (4:36 p.m. ET/1:36 p.m. PT)

Duane Colucci likes #10 Lionite (7/2 morning line). “I’m taking this Steve Asmussen trainee in a race where several horses are coming off sub-par performances and are looking for the right level. Note that Asmussen claimed this horse back twice and top rider Ricardo Santana Jr. chooses this horse over his entrymate on the rail, #1 Aggressivity, despite winning last out. If Lionite can return to his back class, he can win this and we could get better than 7/2. I will also use #10 Lionite with the #1 Aggressivity in an Asmussen exacta box.”
