I saw people picking Buffalo today, citing the reason that Washington was partying after the Nationals won the World Series, which was a true story, but the oddsmakers don't know this? Begging for money with Buffalo as a huge dog? Not buying it. Washington dominates this team, although Buffalo is in good form this year. Plus I think Washington players might do a fair amount of partying ANY DAY so they are used to it. Don't see this being a clunker like some others have posted.

I like a couple other games tonight, will probably hold off, but might be back with 2 picks on the California games.

The obvious choice for Over in the late games is Winnipeg at San Jose. But I'm bad picking totals.

I was certain Minnesota was the right pick on Saturday. Had a goal disallowed in 2p that would have given them the 4-2 lead, but they never recovered from that, losing 4-3 in Overtime to St.Louis. Guess that's the possibility when betting on a bad team against better opposition.

This looked fine after the first period, Detroit leading 1-0. Then Nashville wakes up in the second period and scores 4 goals in 7:36 minutes of 2p and Jimmy Howard gets pulled. Bad pick. Just thought Detroit would play well tonight, they have good history against Nashville.

There was a typo mistake in my win percentage, previously posted after Nov.7 games. Correct win % then was .375 Everything else was correct, as far as I know.... and now up-to-date.

Had to turn my attention to NFL this week, because this isn't working. I will turn it around, as I have before, just gotta shake off the discouraging early start.

this is a "buy low" opportunity on Chicago. Vegas has beat them 7 of 7 times, can they really make it a perfect 8.... maybe but the odds are way out of whack. Chicago sent the past two head-to-head meeting to Overtime, so they are getting closer. Plus, if you look at recent form, Vegas lost 3 in a row, including at Detroit in their last game... records say Chicago is a better team than Detroit.

Chicago finally beat Vegas 5-3 score, even though they had far fewer shots on goal, Corey Crawford played good after allowing 2 goals in the first period (and one of those was a tipped shot that bounced low that he really couldn't do much about). Marc-Andre Fleury played ok at times, but 3 of the goals were high glove-side that he allowed, mostly defense lapse by Vegas setup those chances.

Philadelphia lost 2-1 shootout result in a defensively minded game vs Washington. Looked to me that Philly makes some awkward passes at times to nobody in general. Not sure if that was because of their opponent or what.

Side-note: Dallas won 3-1 on the road in Calgary. I wanted to play Dallas but it was difficult with the amount of injuries they have. Impressive how they turned around their season so far since the bad start, now 9-8-2 overall record.
