EIGHT days have now passed in the NHL playoffs 2014 and Your humble rookie-bettor-friend was just passing a mirror, on his way to a visit at the hospital. That situation made me think!

Fortunately, no one I know, have any deadly diagnoses or anything of the sort. On the contrary, You could say, a very good friend of mine just became a father. In other words, and in that sense, I was visiting to congratulate.

That's when I passed a mirror of insight, in as much as the situation made me think as follows:

No matter what petty cash and/or whichever amount of 'monopoly'-points I loose in betting on sports, I am not necessarily an unlucky person. I wasn't visiting the hospital because of disease and yet this is a place, mostly visited by those people who are.. They are the true, unlucky persons of this world and I think it is my simple duty to remind myself of that. Not least, as a bettor in sports, where, as in general life, things tend to fall out differently, than You thought.

4.24.14: MIN G Darcy Kuemper Total Saves Over 25.5 [-110]
The Wild look to have found a solution to their goal tending/defensive issues in Game 1 & part of Game 2 by inserting Kuemper. All he's done is save every shot he has seen, 36 altogether. That included 22/22 in Game 1 where MIN outshot COL 46-22. As a result, I am expecting COL to come out and be more aggressive in getting the puck at Kuemper. MIN has been stingy in the amount of shots allowed at home with an average of 25.6 per game, two less than their overall average. Down the stretch though, some teams were able to throw the puck in at will on MIN goalies. NAS got 33 in one game and STL shoveled in 45 in another, so it's possible. I think COL will need to do something similar to create pressure on Kuemper and make life more difficult than in Game 3.Hopefully if they do, Kuemper will be up the task and not start leaking goals like Bryzgalov did in Colorado.
