Couple of gross moments tonight for sure.. Most notably the Goal in the CHI/STL game that broke up the tie with 19 seconds left.. Made 2 plays so far on Ties and both games have been tied through the 18-Minute mark of the 3rd. Neither have won. On the right track though I think, as both games were close to a tie at least, and the sides I picked both covered the ties losing..

Either way.. I just about Jumped ALL OVER the LAK at +300 to win in OT which looked super juicy to me, especially with LAK being on the powerplay 4-on-3 for the first 29 seconds of OT.. but I decided to stick with my initial OTT(ML) bet... and it cost me

Kings score right near the beginning of OT.. Brutal..

CHI/STL game was amazing though, and the grind continues. Good night.

Thanks USAF, yea a couple of nasty losses to start, but a lot of close calls, and aside from the Parlay's I'm over .500 (that's why I added the "Pure Total" section of the spreadsheet, so that I could track how I'm doing outside of my Donkey "Bonus Parlay" Habits...)

Oddly enough, that has now motivated me to make WINNING parlay's.. not that I wasn't trying before.. but I was more adding them for bonus.. Now I've made it my mission, to come back in that category.. and then likely chill out in that category for a bit, once it's balanced...

BIG win last night in NASHVILLE for the LEAFS, who have now come out HOT with their latest pick-up in Jon Bernier. Very excited to see how they'll do down the stretch this year. As an aside.. When Brian Burke took over GM of the Leafs in 2008, I predicted that he would pull the Leafs together for a Cup run in 2014.. I'm sticking to that prediction, and currently have about $75 on Leafs to win the East @+800 and $50 for the Leafs to win the cup at around +1500.. LONG SHOT for real, but I'm loving Bernier, he definitely has what it takes to be a Top 5 Goaltender in the league.. His first year as a starter though, so I've tempered my expectations accordingly.

I've got a couple plays for tonight already... and am on the fence about a PIT/CHI (ML) Parlay... we'll see.. no trigger yet..

TONIGHT'S PLAYS
NJ(ML) vs. CGY @-110 x1.5 LOSE
The Calgary Flames have yet to lose in regulation this season, and the New Jersey Devils have yet to win AT ALL... Despite having THREE big OT/SO losses out of 4 games this season... Both of these stats are unexpected to me, and tonight, I'm banking on the regression to the mean here with NJ picking up their first win on the road. I wouldn't call it a ground breaking prediction by any means, but I think it's about time these teams filled in that last category (Win/Reg. Loss). Brodeur is expected to get the start tonight against Joey MacDonald. Will these Flames finally fall into the regulation loss category that so many have predicted they will get stuck in for the long run? 1.5 UNITS says yes.. They will!

PIT vs. FLA OVER5.5 @-120 x1u WIN
Pittsburgh has come out hot as expected to start their year off at 3-0. Tonight (while this hasn't been confirmed) it is expected that Jeff Zatkoff will get his first NHL start. I don't know much about this kid, but considering he'll be up against Jacob Markstrom for the Florida Panthers, I can see this game getting into the 6+ goal range, possibly before the 3rd period even starts.. The Penguins D has been better to start the year, but still far from shut-down, and Florida, is just... Florida... They're good for a 7-0 spanking on any day of the week.. Even if Zatkoff comes out hot in his NHL debut, this game could go over.

NYI vs. CHI OVER 5.5 @-130 x1u LOSE
I'm usually not a big fan of betting on a total that is paying less than -120. But both back ups are in tonight, and the NYI are currently 5th in the league for Goals per Game, while CHI is 7th in that category at 3.33. Early in the season to be using those kinds of stats yes. but even without those stats, this game looks like it could have a few early goals while each of the back-ups settle into their first starts of the season.

On second thought, probably no Trigger on anything PIT(ML) tonight, as it is Zatkoff's NHL debut and those usually go completely sour, or super stellar.. Too much Chalk at -210 to put anything on them tonight... Pitt also has a nack for losing to the shittier teams in the league, and winning in the big games. FLA could pull a nasty tonight. Going to stick to the OVER and enjoy.

Both back-ups in tonight, don't know much about Harding, but Enroth can play. Nothing special, but better than most back-ups imo

Not a whole lot going on tonight after another big night last night. Thinking about ANA(In. Reg) @-130 OR CAL+1.5 @-160... Can't decide... Liking ANA here to win though but CAL has been hard to call so far. They haven't lost in regulation yet. Tonight shoulllllllld be the first time, going to wait a bit to let the numbers sink in.

I only played on the OVER5.5 as a Tail on Seaweed.. Wasn't loving it, but thought a half unit couldn't hurt.. It's not over yet (1st Intermission), but it's looking like a snoozer in the goal Dept. I am going to add a unit on a Live OVER to see if I can get lucky and escape in a 4 or 5 goal game...

Ugh. Was about to sit on the ANA(In Reg.) play and not play the others... That PL play jussssst about hit.. Cogliano loses race to puck for empty netter. The worst. No more tailing Seaweed. Gut was tellling me under on that game. Ah well, lesson learned. Lots of good action tomorrow night.
