Toronto is a great team to bet on opening night. Big Division Rivalry, against a much smaller MON team who will have a lot of home crowd pressure on them in the hockey Crazed Montreal. No home advantage here. +money on the Leafs is a gift.

Reimer starting in net with Bernier breathing down his back all season, expect big things from the #5 GAA goaltender from a year ago..

Phanuef on a contract year and Kessel just signing a boomer 8 Mil contract.

Leafs will be flying high tonight. But it is afterall just game 1 so. Only 2 Units.

Also.. The leafs won 3 of 5 last year against the Habs. in those three games the Goal Differential was 13-2..

I think Clarkson being out is a huge loss... but the books have adjusted for that (Leafs Fav here if Clarkson was in)... however.. I think the psychological impact of Clarkson being out will be positive for the Leafs.. They know they have to Work harder now.. and will want to maintain winning status while he's away..

Dunno about the Cold Kessel.. he's pretty determined and kinda nerdy so he prolly spent his 3 suspension games in the gym and playing X box... no partying/resting for that guy. Big 8 mil contract.. prolly get him right back into the Goal column on day one..

Slow start but only 3.61 units down right now. Live Action saved the day last night. Really liked what I saw from SJ in the 1st period and they were down 1-0 so the Live bet seemed obvious. Also mixed that in with the CLE/BUF game after EJ Manuel left with an injury, and the Browns were on the 5 yard line, in a tie game at the 4th Quarter.. Just seemed like a solid little live Parlay. and it saved the daY!

Try to get my live plays posted before the period starts but not always possible.

Tonight I'm thinking less plays over all, perhaps with more units invested.. Felt really spread out last night and the OV/UN at this point feel like darts.. I don't like Darts.. Stupid game.. So with that in mind lets find 3 solid plays for tonight.

COL(ML) vs. NSH @-145 x2u WIN
This is my favourite play of the night. Colorado has a ton of offensive talent just waiting to burst into top 10 (or better) in the league for offence and Varlamov looks much improved under the new head coach Patrick Roy (greatest goalie of all time? Maybe?). As for Nashville.. Well I have them projected to be a bottom feeding team this year, not only missing the playoffs but possible getting a top 5 Draft pick as well. They lived up to that in game one vs. STL where they allowed 4 goals in the first!! (I was on the Under).. No hard feelings really, but they just look very uninspired and weak. Look for Duchene to light the lamp early tonight.. Possibly more than once.

NOTE: Will be adding 1 Unit to COL if NSH scores first and in the 1st period!

I'm expecting big things from Ottawa this year now that they have a healthy Anderson, Spezza, Karlson and Michalek back in the line-up from the start. They also added a couple gems in the off-season in the way of Bobby Ryan and Clarke MacArthur who, despite playing a soft season last year with the Leafs, has a ton of playmaking ability and should do well with Conacher and Ryan on the second line. I think this will be a tight game and will likely require some extra time to be decided. In that scenario, I like OTT to win in a close game, possibly even in OT or Shootout.

Was all over the New York Jet's last night, cashed in on the ML and Spread - Nothing huge, but it feels good to go positive on Football.. For the first time this season..

A few total's that caught my eye tonight, not really much value in the sides I saw, but I touched on the TB/BUF game as I see Bishop having a good game, and Enroth has yet to impress me... Since that tiny little hot streak he went on late last year... TB prolly win's 3-1 tonight...

**Still waiting on this TB/BUF game to end.. Tied in the 3rd period. Looking at this late game in VAN I noticed that it is the return of Cory Schnieder to go head to head with Luongo on a Back2Back.
To me this feels like enough to make a play on the UNDER5.5 as I'm guessing these Goalies will be on their mark. NJ may even be tired from last night, enough to keep them from scoring..**
