Finding out who the public is on? Tips?

    Hey guys -

is there any tips or recommendations in trying to find out who the public is betting heavier on for a particular match? If there's an article out there or any personal tips anyone has, it would be appreciated thanks!

You can use SBROdds, just hover over the word "opener".

For each sport there is a drop down menu.
Hit matchup and it will tell you the percentage of bets on each side.
If you see the majority of bets % wise on one team and the line is going the other way , it's usually a good sign to stay away. It's called reverse line movement.

I don't for a minute trust any of the percentages any line service or book or whatever puts out there...you will never know the real answer to this question unless you know a bookie well...plain and simple they don't give this shit out...even the espn write ups before big events were a book is saying all the action is going this way yada yada bull shit...try onside sports app...people don't wager real money but you can get a idea of who everyone likes...even broken down into percentages...usually 3-1k people make a pick...it's interesting to look at...

If you are using this information to fade the public, you should stop now.

public opinion is a cointoss - the only good public opinion lead is on small events - if there is a lean - there will be a reason for it. Major leagues are useless

I always look at vegasinsider and scoresandodds but I just dont know for sure if these are real numbers or if its just a way to get us all to go the wrong way.
