Wow the universe must really hate me, since my arch enemy Fake Jake w/ the silver spoon up his a** gets to put the final nail in my coffin this week (I just puked a little in my mouth saying that).

The week that will end up costing me dearly was when Klem beat me by 2 pts, if AB gets released on Thursday instead of Friday, I would have played DJ Chalk on Thursday night football and won the week by 5. No excuses from me tho, I bet big and I lost big in the draft, I'm still one of 4 Champions in this league (Jake, Stealthy, LT, Myself). There's 8 others players still trying to add that to their resume, sadly some never will.

Last update on my recent health issues and I'll quit boring ya. 12 days ago surgeons removed 1 foot of damaged colon. I was able to leave the hospital 3 days later with 17 staples, But No Bag at All (Temporary or Permanent). Recovery has been rough so far, they said first 2 weeks (Of 6-8 weeks) usually are, but I'm on my way back to good health. I've now lost 44 lbs in a little over 3 months by dieting only. In a few weeks they should let me start exercising again and I should lose even more. Sepsis & a Perforated Colon almost killed me, but by the Grace of God, I beat the odds and now I get a 2nd chance. We only get so many of those PhillyGuy, don't know bout you but I'm taking advantage of mine.

My team did horrible....but as yesterday, I am grateful that real life is ok. Coming to work I had to drive by homes/apartments that were hit by tornadoes last night. Crazy stuff.

Somehow my work place is less than a mile from path of destruction and only has a couple of trees down.

I swear man, sometimes real life really puts things into perspective. For instance yesterday, while cooped up in the house watching football, I go check out my FB page. First thing I read is a old childhood friend of mine post. Her grandson just 12 yrs old was at his friends house playing swords/joust yesterday afternoon when the medal pole he was holding accidentally hits a Electrical Wire running to the house. Police & EMT were on scene quickly and performed CPR, but the poor little guy was DOA at the hospital. I can't even start to imagine the pain that family is feeling.

Life is short, you gotta live it to the fullest, make the time you have count, while still you can.

Mean while here in Fantasy Land, my team took a small step to do to get back into the hunt. Hard for me to believe that I'd lose 5 out of my first 6 games but only be 2 games out of 3rd place.

Parity in this league is crazy, the best of the best, playing against one another every week. I don't blame the Hamburger league for not wanting none of this league, they gotta feel like their playing Checkers, while we playing Chess.
