Rather impressive how despite Optional going 1-4, I couldn't manage to beat him with a single of my three entries (picking completely different games in each) ... jeez lol. Hopefully don't have any future weeks like this!Leave a comment:

With him going 1-4 and the consensus picks doing well it looks like a ton of people will beat him this week (me definitely not being one of them lol!). So probably will only be about 50 points per entry which beats him I'd guess.
Nothing huge obviously, but the general hope is to get bits and chunks every week - it does add up, can hopefully mostly cover your entry cost via those freeplays even if you don't finish in the Top 15 (which at least for me is already looking rather poor in all my entries haha).
But hey, the fun/sweating aspect of this really makes it all worthwhile so final finish aside, the entertainment value of this makes it worth the entry fee(s) even if I walk away empty handed!Leave a comment:

I think that might have affected my entry also: I picked Buffalo, and my first entry was counted as getting 4 this week when I believe it should have been 5.

Edit: Actually I think it was with the Saints, I and some others picked Saints but were credited for 0, when it should have been 1, they did cover this week.Leave a comment:

Well in regards to being "bad" at this, is there anyone who truly performs consistently well/decently in this type of thing? Seems pretty luck based, particularly in the short term.
I remember when The Prick would have 0-5 or 1-4 weeks, people would be calling for his head. Or how often do some of the top winners in Beat the Prick do poorly the next year?
Real jist of it: how many people really are going to do quite a bit better than 50% long-term in this type of thing (say 60% or even 55%)? Not many I'm guessing, and if so there are gonna be a lot of 1-4, 2-3 weeks for the lot of us!Leave a comment:
