Thank you pal. I live in North Jersey. The most local program is Rutgers. I would be lying if I said I didn't root for Rutgers deep down inside. I didn't get into NCAAF hardcore until right before the Maurice Clarret era at Ohio State back in about 2002. I rooted my ass of for Ohio State and they won the Fiesta Bowl the following year. But, my Ohio State fan card has been revoked. Lately every year (both in hoops and NCAAF) I watch the teams and I have certain teams I root for. But I don't follow any team more closely then the other. I do go to a Rutgers game or two every year and I do pay attention to them so I figure I know them the best.
NCAA Football actually isn't. Over the past 3 years I have profited most in NFL. After that EPL, college hoops, ncaaf, mlb, and Nba in that order. But that is just by the numbers. I feel most confident in my college hoops handicapping. Then NFL, then NCAAF. Overall none of this matters to me. I try to always stay confident and when I am not it is time for a day off.Comment -

North Jersey, huh? Well......we're a long ways apart. I am in East Texas. However, I was, and always will be a HUGE fan of the Sopranos. So that makes me feel a little closer to you! (joke.) It was a great show. In my opinion, the best that has ever been on tv. My wife and I were fanatics about it. Sad thing is.....now that its off the air, sports is the only thing I ever watch anymore.
Great job this weekend on both NCAA & NFL. I have already ordered ESPN Full Court....so I am really looking forward to following your insight on NCAA hoops.

Lol, Sopranos really does give you a feel to North Jersey. They are always on location all over the place. I miss Sopranos. If you want to know something funny the white Escalade Tony drove in the last few seasons was rented from my father's business partner who let them use one of his properties to shoot. After they ended it they had Tony sign it on the steering wheel, back panel, and dash. They took a picture of him with it and they put some kind of poster on the window saying it was used in the Sopranos. They also got the "Soprano" license plate which was in the back seat.They put it in front of the store and were raffling it off. When it began to snow he decided to put it away and he didn't have room for it so we put it in my garage. I drove that thing for a good two months before we put it back on display and raffled it off a month later.

ACC Plays
Miami -2.5 (2x)
Again Georgia Tech is getting credit from the line and they still are yet to impress me. Miami got a good win against Maryland even without Jacory Harris. From everything I am reading it seems like Harris will be in their come Saturday which means only good things for The U. Georgia Tech in the past few years has built up the reputation of a team that can hang 40 on you without the ball leaving the ground. The option worked to perfection and no one could figure it out. But, eventually all good things must come to an end. The option has looked a step slow this year and it has gotten them into more passing situations then they have hoped for. When passing situations present themselves and you are only completing 37% of your passes on the year you won't have much going in your favor. This has led to already four losses and a slowed down offense. The Yellow Jackets have only scored 33 points against Virginia and 30 against UNC. Aside from that all the other BCS opponents have held this team under 30 points. Last year they managed to get 30 points or more 8 times against BCS opponents and over 40 four times. Dwyer seems to have been a big part of this option attack. It really doesn't help that now Nesbitt is out for the year leaving a quarterback who hasn't had all that much in game experience with a complex offense. Tevin Washington didn't look like anything special against Va Tech when he filled in although he does seem very similar to Nesbitt. The problem with trying to run this attack is that Miami hand picks their recruits from one of the most athletic talent pools in the country. They have an extremely fast defense an against an option attack you need to be very quick on the edges. I really like Miami to take advantage of some of Washingtons mistakes and with Jacory Harris back the Hurricanes can move their focus back towards competing rather then babysitting a backup qb.

Yup, that is correct. I know those two lines haven't been released yet but I will be on them pretty much blind. As long as the 1st Q isn't over 6.5 and the 1H isn't over -16.5 those are plays. Wake Forest is awful, their defense is exploitable and the Russell Wilson offense could be in for a huge day. Think back to what Andrew Luck and Stanford did to this young team. They are giving up 38 points per game and in four road games this year they have been absolutely blasted. They are giving up 53.2 ppg on the road this year so far and scoring only 14. I am expecting NC St to be up 35-7 early. Or maybe I am in for a bad surprise.
Virginia Tech/North Carolina u51.5 (1x)
Big fan of both defenses. UNC has the speed on defense to contain Tyrod Taylor and Va Tech defense is just very good and are just waiting to prove it on a consistent basis. They have really tightened up since Va Tech went on this run of theirs. This historically is a low scoring match up and I expect no different here. The UNC offense hasn't been anything tremendous either. They seem to be getting a lot less big plays this year and instead putting the ball in Yates hands to matriculate down the field. Just think this is a 24-17 game.

Really don't think Maryland is good. I say it every week and this team has still yet to show me anything. They benefit from a really weak schedule. The ACC wins came over Wake Forest, Duke, and Boston College. Virginia has shown ability in some games. They beat Miami an nearly won @ USC. Think Maryland is in for a rude awakening the rest of the way. Virginia has won the last three meetings. Think MD loses their next three games.Comment -

West Virginia -6 (1x)
WVU coming off of a big let down after losing two straight to Syracuse and Connecticut. They should be focused at home here and get a win against Cincy. Cincy really has no defense to stop this West Virginia offense. They have been getting burnt consistently and have given up over 30 points to every BCS opponent they have faced except Louisville who scored 27. Unfortunately, if they do that against WVU it is going to be tough to match that point production. This West Virginia defense has surprised me this year at just how good they are. They are giving up a measly 13 points per game. They have given up 21 points or less to every opponent this year. I just think this is a big mismatch. Cincy has shown trouble containing plays to the outside which is WVU's specialty. If they miss tackles in the open field like they have all year Jock Sanders and Noel Devine will run up the sideline all day long.Comment -
Big Ten Plays
Northwestern +10 (2x)
This is a match up that has given Iowa trouble in the past. Northwestern has actually won four of the last five meetings against this Iowa team. Northwestern has shown life all year but have just not found a way to close out some of these games. They ran out to the 21-0 lead @ Penn State before giving up 35 unanswered. They had Michigan State down 17-0 before getting outscored 21-3 in the fourth quarter. They had Purdue beaten before blowing that game in the fourth as well. This is a good Northwestern team that shouldn't be getting ten at home to a team like Iowa. If they take a lead against Iowa they will be right there all game with this team and I think Northwestern has a very good shot at pulling the upset. Iowa hasn't been all that impressive this year except for their game against Michigan State. Stanzi hasn't done much against this team in past meetings and I really think this is a low scoring, close game. May play the under as well here.
