Pretty painful game to watch no matter the side you were on tonight. Nice to see Cinci bring a little effort but the defense was just brutal. Going to have to be selective playing on teams like that with NO DEFENSE AT ALL haha. With that being said, cash another bet with Cinci! Thanks Griff! I've been doing it for quite a while and applied those good and bad experiences to the mathematical algorithms. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, sometimes we take bad breaks like in the Purdue game. Hate to see it happen like that because they're force to kick a fg if he's short. So, like I said earlier this week was a tough one, but we'll have them every now and then. Sadly, we are a few bad breaks from being even if not ahead.
Texas state, Maryland, north Texas and south Alabama were all whiffs, never even had a chance to get a sweat. The four gave up 59, 45, 62, and 63 points...
Turnover battle notables:
Texas st -4
South Alabama -3
Maryland -4
Hard to win doing that. With that said, we lost 15 units and easily could have had a little less painful of a day.
Purdue beat was probably the toughest. 5.7 unit swing after Purdue kicker misses late field goal. Even worse is that their defense couldn't hold them out of the end zone for one more play and force the game winning field goal. TD with 9 seconds left was brutal. When you take those beats I've found that the rest of the day is going to be difficult, as it was Saturday.
Illinois for 4 units was a tough loss. Not necessarily a bad break but a tough pill to swallow. Illinois was up 12 going to the 4th at home and couldn't bury their opponent. 2 point win is one short of what we needed, could have easily covered.
Mizzouri another 4 unit bet that could have easily gone the other way. After playing a tight game they couldn't squeeze out more than 13 points. I knew their offense would struggle, but maybe they'd figure it out. Impressive defensive effort. Mizzou was in it most of the game, another close loss.
Hawaii and wake were in it to cover. Hawaii got shut out, still think we were on the right side. After prepping for for this week I missed a look ahead spot for Minnesota. They have a big conference game against Northwestern this week and I totally missed it. Instead of having Minnesota winning by 10+ I would have actually been on Ohio getting points in which would have cashed. Another 2 units lost.
I know these sound like excuses but I don't think we were far from having an even to winning weekend instead of losing 15. But, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I was really discouraged losing what we'd worked so hard to win but after a few days away from football I'm ready to get back to work. Here's to a winning weekend in week 5!Comment -

Vegas lines were sharp tonight, hopefully some of you got +7.5 in the USF game. We had stuff going on tonight so I had to go ahead and bet it. UCONN got ran up and down the field and still had a great chance to cover. Absolutely hate losing by the field goal with less than 30 seconds left. But, they didn't have much business covering the way they finished the 4th quarter. Two interceptions and a failed onside kick cost us big time. Coulda been a better night, coulda been worse, plenty to play on tomorrow! Good luck everyone!Comment -
