Sweetly. He did some favors for Dana White. Meanwhile Henderson was tearing it up in the UFC and was promised a title shot after a series of wins. However, Belfort deserved it a lot more for winning 1 fight 2 years ago against someone who wasn't even a contender at the time.

Let's be fair now after losing to Silva, Henderson had a decision win over Palhares/ Split decison over Franklin (many thought he lost)/ KO over Bisping. 3 soild wins, but far from tearing it up

No doubt Belfort has not earned the shot like previous fighters, but he's a fighter with a name in a division Silva has cleared out.

I like Cerrone as well, but -260 is to much for me. I'll sit this one out.

Belfort had won 4 straight before coming to the UFC, including a win over Linland which at the time was a big deal. Of course now that everyone is running through Linland, it doesn't seem as prestigious. But everything is different in hindsight.

Like others have said, in a division where the champ is cleaning house....a 4 win streak + 1 ufc win is enough to warrant a title shot.

I don't think he deserves the title shot, but I understand the business side of it. It's a similar situation to Jake Shields coming over. I suppose my first post was a little exaggerated.

3.0 - Anderson Silva -240
1.0 - Ryan Bader +275

Could not believe that Silva was only -240 and that Bader was +300 by the time my deposit cleared it had moved to +275

I really don't understand why rich is a favorite here, i'm not hating but I just don't understand it. Is it because forest has not had a fight in a year? In my eyes chuck was winning that fight and luckily for franklin he hit him on his glass chin with his one good arm. Forest is bigger, and the rest as goldie likes to say is virtually identical. If anything i would think it would be pretty much a coin flip.

If you are a proven winner, it is disrespectful to have to go thru the ranks of ufc cans, just to get a title shot. I suppose you would rather see Vitor fight Chris Leben

Because Forest really doesnt seem to care anymore, Rich Franklin still has the spirit of a fighter. I put 2 units on Franklin at -155, I feel pretty good about it.

Theres no way in hell forrest should be the favorite.If anything Rich should be an even bigger favorite. Franklin has alot better standup, has beaten alot of tough legit guys and has only lost to top tier guys.Forrest on the other hand is overrated, he has sloppy predictable standup, is coming off a long layoff and is very weak mentally.Rich -155 is an awesome gift!

Proven winner? Congratulations, you beat some cans that aren't top contenders anywhere and don't move you up ranks. It's disrespectful to fight a contender in the division? He didn't come to the UFC with any wins over any top opponents no one he's beat in the last 6 or 7 years+ is a contender in any weight division. As for the Chris Leben comment, I guess on your rankings list he's a contender. Maybe they should pick up random cans off the street who happen to have 10 fight winning streaks(double Vitor's) because they are "proven winners" and offer them title shots.

Vitor has a proven track record. So does jake shields. That's why they are able to jump right to the top. If they could get Fedor, he would go straight to the top the same way. He hasn't beaten anybody good in a long time either. It doesn't matter.

Depends on how far back ur going with their "track record". Only legit dude Vitor has beat in last few years is Franklin whilst Shields has beaten Daley, Condit, Pyle, Okami, Hendo and Kampmann...surely nobody can think that Serati, Zikic, Terry Martin and Lindland are at the same level as them!

Your right vaughany. I only brought up shields because he complained about that too. What about Fedor? He hasn't beaten anybody either lately. Some of these guys names are big draws. This guy is just tryin to start more ufc organizational bullshit. You can still be a top fighter and be worthy of a title shot even if you not in the UFC.

Rich should be the favorite, but your other points are right on. These two are very evenly matched. The only two differences between these two is the size for Forrest and then also the year long lay off.

No one has really said anything about if Vitor should get the next title shot or not. My posts are only saying that he doesn't deserve one and hasn't earned it. Shields obviously deserves a title shot more than Vitor, but he doesn't deserve it more than someone like Fitch. No one's really arguing who should get the next title shot. Also I don't know what post you read, but I never complained about Jake or Vitor getting title shots. As far as Fedor goes he doesn't deserve a title shot in the UFC right now either.

Being a big draw doesn't mean you deserve something more than someone else. It definitely means you are more likely to move up quicker, but that's based on how you fight, who you are, and what you've accomplished. Skill is not a requirement. Being worthy of something and deserving it are far different from being more marketable and selling more fights.

You've used both "Proven track record" and "Proven winners". There are many fighters out there that no one has ever even heard of. Every season on TUF there's undefeated guys with track records and wins. I don't know what this has to do with anything though.
