#8582yeah came out for newsletter subscribers today, general public tomorrow...I just go regardless of the card just because it only happens once a year and good chance to meet up with my brothers and old buddies I dont see much. £62 is nothing when you consider that a Premier League soccer game is about £30 a ticket nowadays for a decent team!Originally posted by PunisherINDTickets on sale already?

#8583fully understand where you're coming from. i feel the same way on the east coast. obviously not as bad as it is for you, but nowhere near as good as the west coast.Originally posted by Vaughanyyeah came out for newsletter subscribers today, general public tomorrow...I just go regardless of the card just because it only happens once a year and good chance to meet up with my brothers and old buddies I dont see much. £62 is nothing when you consider that a Premier League soccer game is about £30 a ticket nowadays for a decent team!Comment -

#8585yea, if i lived out there, i would definitely have to pick and choose which events to go to. on the east coast the events are so few and far between, i pretty much go to all of them. im already committed to going to bones vs. sonnen in april.Comment -

#8590Somebody sell me on why going to a live MMA show is worth it? Seems like the view is terrible, having to look through a cage from a million miles away. Plus the crowd is filled with meathead douchebags, right?

#8592ha well I've always got the cheapest seats and because they are small arena events over here those seats are perfect because you're not too far away and you are looking directly into the cage so can see everything (and you have a screen thing hanging down so can see the camera view as you see on tv as well). Without trying to sound like Dana White and Rogan too much but it really is the best atmosphere sporting event wise that I've ever been to. And depends how much of a fanboy you are I guess! Im not as much of a fanboy as I used to be but Im still a sucka for things like the Teenage Wasteland montage that plays just before the main card starts and the fighter entrances...things that you dont get to experience as much when watchin on tv! Like when Hardy came out to England Belongs to Me and Chris Leben in Zombie mode came out to Mad World at 138...place went crazy! Also just the sound of somebody getting knocked out is always a buzz (in a warped kind of way!). Witnessing COndit KO Hardy and silence thousands of fanboys was amazing! Place went from raucous to eery silence in seconds. The Pickett KO at last event was awesome to see live as well. You do get some meatheads of course but I've never seen any trouble. Biggest meathead I saw was at last event when John Maguire's pikey brother Tommy came and sat next to me and starting rambling on about how his brother was a dick and that Hathaway fought like a pussy! That's another cool thing I guess f u like meeting the fighteres, at some stage during the 5 hours I was there I was sat next to or very near a load of fighters. Semtex was just in front, Gunnar Nelson's entourage were just behind us (fit Icelandic girlfriend btw and he came up and sat right behind me an hour after his fight), Hathaway came up and sat near us just after Tommy Maguire had stormed off in a huff, and a load of the TUF Smashes guys like Fletcher (dressed in full clown outfit!), Bola, Pastou, Newman, and Valentino Petrescu were just to left of us. Was funny when we went for a beer and Valentino was stood in the queue and nobody was paying him any attention - my buddy who isnt even that in to MMA recognized him as he must of watched the first episode when Alloway knocked him out and asked to take a photo with him. He was so happy that somebody had recognised him! He couldnt believe it and was buzzin cos then everybody around realised he must be a fighter and followed suit! A load of Cool Story Bro's that night!Originally posted by NunyaBidnessSomebody sell me on why going to a live MMA show is worth it? #8604I could be wrong, but what I think Nunya is driving at is only a certain type of "lowbrow" individual would watch MMA, let alone actually attend an event.Originally posted by OblivianIMO, it's not worth the price if you have to get a hotel.
I admit to watching MMA (and analysizing hogs) but I am humiliated about it and I'm actually seeing a shrink. I asked him how I, as a "highbrow" intellectual with an IQ of 165, could enjoy viewing such violent images. He keeps telling me that my attraction to MMA is merely my latent homosexuality trying to manifest itself. He said that the images of primal men rubbing their hogs together elicited a certain urge that I had been suppressing.
He said that latent homosexuals will supress, deny, or project these "urges" onto someone else. For instance, they will sexually deify female fighters with manly traits who will be able to dominate them in bed, and claim that because they have a "vagina" that they are merely acting out a healthy heterosexual urge. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I remember I touched on these subjects when I first arrived here. I was bombarded by all the MMA fans. Punisher even called me "Aristotle" (not in a good way). He told me MMA fans were all fine upstanding citizens and that the fighters were all fully educated, spiritually developed human beings.
But he did however decline to mention his voyeuristic group sex experiences with an MMA fighter who calls himself the "Caveman".Comment -

a bit of exaggeration, but basically all true.

#8607It reminds me of the time I went to Vegas for my first UFC show. I was drinking heavily to try and quell the anxiety of being around so many hogs at one time. There was literally one chick there for every 9 dudes. And those chicks were fat as hell. I figured the chances of me getting some hog that night were +EV. And by hog I mean penis, not the fat chicks.Originally posted by PunisherIND
a bit of exaggeration, but basically all true.
So I walk into the mens washroom (looking for hogs) and see a guy in an affliction shirt at the urinal and I don't want him to think im gay so I say "this guys a phaget I dont want him looking at my hog". So i went to use a stall but they were all locked. I had to take a leak really bad so I ended up kicking one open and just starting pissing.
I was floored when I realized Uriah Faber was in there getting head from the focking Hensel twins man. THE FOCKIN HENSEL TWINS. And here I was urinating all over them. I didn't even know they sucked hog. I guess they are adults now and can do whatever they want. What happens in vegas...
