really both fighters hurt each other , rashad almost getting stopped. i enjoyed it the crowd enjoyed it. i loved the team jackson gameplan. I didnt hear one boo bird.

There were a bunch of boo birds in the 1st and 2nd rounds. They stood around holding hands for most of the fight. The last round was entertaining but not enough for me.

herb dean saved rashad period, rashad was no doubt beating him. But, he was done for and defenseless and herb just watched him recover when it should have been stopped. Page is an idiot tho for doing the exact same thing thiago did in the third round to a T.

im gonna have to rewatch, look like to me rashad was taking multiple unanswered strikes to the head which precedent shows for a stoppage. Usually refs let it go on when a guy has a notorious good chin like nog or someone. Rashads arm jumps up like a fish because he is being bounced off the canvas, i dont see how herb didnt stop it. But, page ****ed it up more than anything.

Rampage just wasn't landing clean enough shots when he had him in third. One flush shot to the temple or jaw probably ends it. I guess he gassed himself out after that flurry. Two fights in a row where rashad escapes late. I thought Rampage was going to hurt him and wind up finishing him, I was wrong here, but would love to see Shogun under -175.

I agree but its funny how you say that because the only real reason he matches up so well is cuz

a) he's the only good wrestler at 205 in the UFC who isn't still really green
b) the best athlete of the mature fighters in the division
c) even if Mo Lawal were to come to the UFC I doubt they'd fight each other
d) the 205 division as a whole is grossly overrated

Shogun wouldn't stand with Rashad for long at all, he'd go straight to the clinch. I can't wait to see the write ups though, saying that Shogun will sprawl and brawl Rashad, or get taken down and get back up and outstrike him to win. Shogun's gameplan, as with all his fights, is gonna be like most of Randy's. His bread and butter is the clinch and thats where Rashad has problems the most. If Shogun wins he has to wear out Rashad faster because he won't have a cardio advantage or a speed advantage and the only way is to do what he did to machida, slow him down with knees to the legs in the clinch and after that hit him with leg kicks.
