#635Im watching his fight with feijao in strikeforce right now, im not done yet but romero doesnt look like much of a finisher so far. I know hes a great wrestler though one of the top few pure wrestlers in that division.Comment -

#637He was def gun shy in round 1 vs feijao, I did however have him ahead in round 2 until he got caught. Yoel is a very good boxer, a bit too patient at times though. Starks is no where near feijao in stand up, Romero should be able to out box him without getting taken down.Last edited by Nick Papageorgio; 04-17-13, 08:47 PM.Comment -

#638I just saw all his fights but one, hard puncher maybe.. I wouldnt say hes a good boxer though. He could definitely learn a thing or two from JamesKim. I'm locking it in right now, have two open parlay spots with it for Jon jones and sara mcmann.Comment -

#642Mexico City
Yeah, those kind of things are awful but its not like they picture. Its way way more scary to live in USA. In Mexico theres a couple of places you should not go in like Tepito and other few places in this but theres a minuscule chance of getting murdered (maybe robbed but not much else). Whereas in USA you might walk into the niqqas neighborhood and get ****** badly if you a whitey or a beaner.
Those murders in Mexico are other kind of thing....like, lets say, the government says Juan is gonna control the dope, Juan is happy....Juan gets super rich and controls the a few states....then new president comes and says Pepe is gonna be the dopeman now. Juan gets super pissed and begins to shoot Pepe's guys and put them on sticks. But since im not on Juan's or Pepe's team im pretty safe. Nothing happens here. Latinos are crazy on USA but not so much here.
Drugs were super cheap and accesible. Now they are not as cheap as they used to but easier to get. Great thing is we dont really have heroin, pcp and such in Mexico.Comment -

#645Yeah. I like this place a lot.
It depends....you can eat and live very cheap, you can find it, but this is actually an expensive city. This is not like Thailand where you are a king with 500 bucks but many thing are indeed cheap.
Thanks bud.
First i watched movies without subs in highschool and learn quite a bit. I did the Toefl exam right after and at 23 i made a couple of companys with a kuwaitee i met in ICQ when i was 20-21. We settled those in denmark (where he was living). I was half of it so had to make reviews, read contracts and shit like that and speak in english with my partner everyday.Last edited by Grabaka; 04-17-13, 11:05 PM.Comment -

Oh yeah!!!! My favorite food. And its cheap! I love ceviche (raw meatfood or fish cooked just by the lemon juice). I admit i have never thied a tostada (fried hard tortilla) filled with those clams. I love those clams.
Theres a pretty good place (not expensive really) 10 minutes walking. I love to go there.
Man you MUST try it. And its so easy to do we can tell you how. you just need fresh seafoodComment -

#647ICQ?? at 21??
you must be real old bro
i remember ICQ being the first online instant message system i had ever used. It was one of the first, next to AOL. Started using in grade 3 i believe... this was in the 90s! actaully you know what.. maybe just in canada ICQ seemed to be "played out" and everyone started using msn messenger. maybe ICQ is still popular in some parts of the world??
yup, ceviche looks like a must try! like i said before, toronto doesnt get much of the authentic mexican stuff. The city is huge, so i might be able to find it if i was willing to drive around town to get it, but its not prevalent at all.
I've always wondered if mexicans(those that enjoy ceviche) have a natural fondness for sushi and sashimi?Comment -

Its on the King St strip, I worked there with the chef who broke me into the business, it turned to shit about 2 years ago when him and my sous left.
So I'm hanging around today on my Wednesday off, I get a fockin phone call, turns out he wants me back in T Dot in about 4 months to be his sous.

First off, sorry for spamming your thread,
s.
Secondly, I've often wondered about the presumed "danger" of visiting countries in central america.
I suspect its a lot like the big cities up here, the "bad neighbourhoods" of Toronto and Vancouver are shocking, its also where most of the violence takes place, yet they are two of my favorite cities.Comment -
