My Fading The Cubs Season Long Thread
I will be fading the cubs here everytime they are facing a better team and the value is decent. Their record on the season as underdogs is truly terrible (12-26). I think I will make a big profit (my guess is that the cubs will be down 30-40 units by the time the season is over). I'm actually a big Cubs fan myself and am pretty familiar with this team - they're near the bottom of the league in offense, defense, starting pitching and late relief work. This will be just a historically awful team IMO - especially when they trade away guys like Garza and Dempster

    Tomorrow

Giants - 145. You got Vogelsong who has been completely dominant at home facing the cubs on the road who seemingly can't get a run off anybody. Samardja is a good pitcher but he's due for some regression I believe as he's posting numbers better than anybody expected.

Cubs are 6-20 on the road, I expect it to be 6-21 tomorrow

i fade the cubs a lot, also i think the phillies are gonna start to suck bad. no power bats at all and their lineup is banged up and old. they are like the a's, pretty good pitching and no hitting.

Jesus Christ did you not read this thread?

Samardja could pitch a great game and be down 4-0 because of how awful the cubs defense is

"I'm taking the cubs" <<< should not be in anybody's vocabulary the rest of the season

1-0 on the season, I'm actually 3 - 0 cause I posted threads for the giants on game 2 and game 3 as well

I'm probably gonna pass on this game because of the lack of hitting for the brewers. I hope the cubs end this losing streak today so they can start another long losing streak tomorrow

No matter how short-sighted this strategy is, you are contributing.

I don't see this as a short sighted strategy. The Cubs will finish at least 25 negative units

                        Giants -145
                        brew -145 Today
Brew Greinke will be -175 Wednesday

                        So on and so forth.

Laying juice is not fading. You are paying to play, and need to win 3 times more than you lose.

Hmmm, I never heard of this before

Regardless of the fact, I'll gladly lay - 170 with Greinke at home against the cubs (considering Greinke's complete and utter home dominance since becoming a Brewer). All you have to do to be profitable there is win 2 out of 3 and I fully expect the Cubs to lose about 70% of their road games this year
