    9.29.12: Royals Team Total Over 4 [-110]
Jeanmar Gomez for Cleveland. In 16 starts this season, 11 have seen the opposition score at least four runs. He has started twice against KC, being knocked out after just two innings in one and allowing five runs in 5 IP last time he faced them. The Indians have given up at least four in eight of their last ten, while KC has scored four or better in seven of ten and in 14 of 16 meetings with the Tribe this season.

          9.30.12: Brewers Team Total Over 5 [-115]
Jordan Lyles for Houston. On the road, nine of his eleven starts have seen the opposition score at least five. The same goes for seven of his last ten overall. Lyles has faced Milwaukee twice, getting blasted for nine runs on the road and allowing just two @ home. Both games still saw the Brewers score five or better. Milwaukee has scored 15 runs in the 1st two games of this series and have scored five or more against Houston in eight of the last nine meetings this season.

Indeed. I was taking one of these two teams on the over. Astros TT was low @ 3 and they bashed the ball the last two days, but trusting them to do it day after day is tough ... even though they did it again. Oh well, pack it up and onto the next one.

Yeah I played the O8 and TT O5. Been riding the Fiers regression train and Lyles road fade train for a while now. Looked like the perfect storm with both combined. If it's too good to be true...

                        10.1.12: Braves Team Total Over 4 [-125]
ATL is pushing as least another day with a long shot still at the Division Title, so they should be playing with close to a full lineup. Locke goes for PIT. In five starts, he has given up at least three runs in four of five and five runs in three of those. In all five starts, the opposition has scored at least four by game's end. The Braves haven't been all that consistent scoring lately, but this is a good opportunity against an average pitcher who has trouble going deep into games.

Astros Team Total Over 3.5 [-115]
Dare to dream. Three straight with five or more scored for Houston. They face Jason Berken and the Cubs to finish off a miserable season. Berken has made three starts with six runs allowed twice and none in his third start. All three ended with the opponent scoring five or better. Cubs bullpen is still plenty leaky with a 10.97 ERA over their last five. Chicago has allowed at least four runs in 10 of their last 11 and 15 of their last 20 @ Wrigley Field.

Disappointed that at least one didn't cash yesterday. Astros looked like they were going to nail it in the 9th, but sputtered out.

                            10.2.10: Rays Team Total Under 4 [-115]
Miguel Gonzalez goes for the Orioles. He has given up two earned runs or less in seven of his last ten starts - including two starts against Tampa where he has given up just two runs in 13.1 IP. He did have one very poor outing vs. TB earlier in the season, but since then has seen the opposition score four or less in eight of ten starts. In eight road starts, only twice has the opponent scored more than four when he has started. Tampa had been pretty hot offensively, but having been eliminated from the playoffs now - desire could be somewhat lower. Balitmore has done a nice job holding them down most of the season, allowing four or less runs to the Rays in 11 of 16 meetings.

Rays lineup looks pretty regular to me.

Rockies Team Total Over 4 [-115]
Not usually a huge supporter of Colorado scoring on the road, but going against Patrick Corbin and Arizona has been a winning proposition more often than not. Corbin as I have said a few times, seems to be wearing down at the end of the season. He has given up at least four runs in five of his last eight starts and has only gotten out of the 6th inning in one of his last five starts. Over his last two starts, he gave up 11 earned runs. Overall, the opposition has tallied at least four runs in 13 of his 16 starts. He has been lit up twice by the Rockies, but both were @ Coors Field.

Will wait for lineups, but as long as Arizona is starting a strong lineup - going to fade the Rockies pitching staff + ride one of the better home offenses this season. Arizona has scored five in both games of this series and have hit that # in seven of their last ten @ home. Diamondbacks averaged 5.5 runs off lefties per 9 IP at home and averaged a shade over 5 runs per game @ home for the season.

10.5.12: [NL Wildcard] Cardinals Team Total Over 3.5 [-110]
Kris Medlen. Great #s for ATL. But break it down to the core and you see the majority of his work against some of the worst offenses in the league. Nine of his 12 starts came against SD, Miami, NYM & Houston - all stuck in the bottom 5th in terms of runs scored. The Nationals were the best team he faced and he did limit them both times, allowing just one run. Still, something inside me says Medlen shows some nerves against a Top 5 offense. STL ranks 5th in runs scored this season and has scored four or better in 67% 920/30) of their games since September 1st. The meetings with ATL were early in the season, but the Cards did score four or more in five of six meetings. Obviously a gut play when you consider no team has scored more than three when Medlen has started, but let me see this squad with pressure on against a veteran team.
