Fernando Abad for Houston. In four starts, three of them have seen the opposition score at least five. Abad's transition to the rotation from the bullpen has meant some shorter outings, which means plenty of chances against the meaty Houston bullpen which sports a 4.74 ERA on the road. STL is hitting just over .300 @ home against lefties.Comment -
With you on STL TT but i think it should be at 5 so 4 1/2 could be a trap by the books to beat us with the hook. Also, lohse doesn't seem to get much run support which scares me a bit.
I'm also on CIN TT, and CLE TT.
Germano has only held teams to under 5 runs three times, twice against the Astros Once against the pirates.
Contemplating white sox TT under. They struggle in KC.

STL is up to 5 most places. 4.5 was fine with higher chalk. STL hasn't been consistently producing offensively, so it's still somewhat of a risk, but against Houston - probably worth it. No opinions on the others.Originally posted by HotnicksComment -

PJ Walters for the Twins. He has been El Can de Gasoline. Four straight starts, the opposition has scored at least five when Walters starts. In all, he has allowed at least four runs in five straight. Cleveland hit Walters for four runs in a June start in 4.1 IP, but could not find another run after that. Tyler Chatwood starts for Colorado. In six of nine starts, the opposition has scored at least four runs. He has started against SF twice. He shut them out in 5 IP @ SF and lasted just 3.2 IP @ home when he allowed three runs. He is rarely making it past five innings, so plenty of bullpen time. The Rockies have given up at least four in eight of nine overall and eight of the last ten meetings between the two teams.Comment -

Esmerling Vasquez for Minnesota. This is his 4th start. So far, he has given up at least three runs in each start and the opposition has scored at least six in all three games. He has yet to finish six innings, so the bullpen should be a factor again today. The Tribe nailed him for four earnies in three innings in his second start and finished with seven runs overall. Cincy hosts the Dodgers and Joe Blanton. Six of Blanton's eight starts since coming to LA have seen the opposition score at least four runs. All four of his road starts have seen the opposition score at least four with Blanton giving up all four in three of those games. Reds have found a bit more consistency offensively of late with at least four in seven of their last ten and four of the last five.
Padres Team Total Over 3 [-125]
Ryan Vogelsong for SF. He seems to have hit a bit of a wall as he has allowed at least three runs in eight of his last nine starts overall with the opposition scoring at least three in 13 of his last 15 starts overall.
