life's been re-arranging priorities on me lately (all u family-men know what i'm talking about)...so the investment-accout management (of which sports-betting has become the most enjoyable part) has been taking an uncharacteristic backseat since the all-star break...i will pop in around this time nightly to see how the day's tickets fared and clink glasses/bitch about bad-beats as appropriate...

anyhow, until the weather in my life clears up i'll be on the one-a-day posting diet...

Note: if you just ignore the order of the 1-10 rankings...and just consider each a list of 10 all-time great flicks...it's even better cuz no need to "disagree" with any of 'em...but u may just wanna add a few of your own...eg. in the "epic" category, list needs "Braveheart" and "Gladiator"...and could do with an 11th category-Horror...and put "The Omen", "The Ring", and "Psycho" in there to start it off)

I never watch games i have bets on...i put up good vid on the right monitor...and have a scoreboard on the left...identical results but more-entertained=less pissed-off (i always have that "Murphy's Law" feeling when i try to watch the end of a close game)

"Buried Treasure" films: Great flicks u likely have NOT seen, but are brilliant...in no particular order...they're all great

*Breaking Away (it's actually on the AFI list, sports category...but it's not well remembed)

*Runaway Train (Jon Voigt and Eric Roberts...most intelligent "action" movie ever)

*Secrets and Lies" (produced in the UK...great drama)

*"Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" (starring Kenneth Branaugh as the doctor, and Robt DeNIro as the monster)

damn we got similar tastes cuz "Short Cuts" (which brings to mind another "hard to categorize" film i'm sure u're well aware of..."Donnie Darko") definitely belonged on that post...and I regard "Sideways" as a standout of the last dozen-or-so years of generally-crappy hollywood output

I'll chek out "World's Greatest Dad"...title reminds me of another all-tym fave...an early Ron Howard film..."Parenthood"...i think it's brilliant in every way (watch it with your kid...and the "diarhhea" song'll become a great car-number that mom'll hate you for)

ditto "The Squid and the Whale" i'll chek out (again the title just chipped off another all-tym fave...a NewZealand movie called "Whale Rider")

Fyi Paul Emmel Hp umpire in the Padre vs. Stros game, Emmel is 16-1
on overs this season. The O/U is at 6.5 w/ the over getting juiced hard,
i am betting Emmel is 16-2 on overs after tonight. Rolling with Padres/Stros Under
6.5 (+105) bol everyone.

Good luck on the under tonight, pac. Emmel is a weird ump when you look at his #'s over the past 4 years. 2010 he had a bottom 6 BB rate and top 5 strike% with the SO rate to go wtih it.
2011 he was on the opposite end of the spectrum with the 3rd lowest strike%, 4th highest walk rate, and avg SO rate.
2012 is another average SO rate, top 20 BB%, and top 25 (out of 70) Strike%.

those numbers would lead me to believe he's an over ump, but nothing I would be confident in laying just because he's behind HP.

That being said, both offenses are bottom 3 vs LHP and SP's are both on fairly good runs as of late.

Only thing that scares me is SD has been on a bit of a tear recently putting up 25 runs since the ASG and two games they put up <= 1 (vs. Kershaw and Happ). Overall I'd lean under with you, but not sure if i want to pull the trigger.
