Value Alert...Olympics: Men's Basketball. Brazil (a serious bball nation) vs G. Britain (only in tourney as host country)...the spread is only -13 with odds -103. GB doesn't really belong on the same floor here. I can't picture Brazilian coach being happy with a single digit win against the worst team in the tourney...and will push his team to win by at least 15. Think this has a MUCH better prob of hitting than the break-even 50.76% implied by the odds here...certainly worth a unit.

Game starts in about 30 minutes.

rough day yesterday, pac. Lets get 'em back today! miiiiiiiight play minnesota, but otherwise i'm on the over 7.5 in SF and over 8.5 in Atlanta. Could be trouble as it's getaway day in both cases, but both games have pretty decent over umps, so i think it's worth the risk.

...and sorry for yesterday's dumbassed call on (what i thot' would be) an olympic mismatched basketball game's spread (actually turned into a near SU-loss for the fave)...

Note to self: from now on if one team is perceived as a near-certain winner like that either eat the chalk or parlay it with another solid play...a goddam spread is the worst way to go in such cases...it's why u gotta lay off gimmicky crap like Nigeria+54/USA (..like the Harlem Globetrotters vs. opponent...the spread is unimportant=unpredictable if the game is not really contested)...better off putting the money on a baccarat flop
