    MLB vegas rules?

I have a question about MLB rules:

Scenario: Home team is tied in the bottom of the 9th inning, bases loaded, batter hits a ground rule double.

How many runs score? 1 or 2?

No smitch, ONE run scores and it is scored officially as a single.

The ONLY time extra runs are allowed to score in the bottom of the ninth (or extra innings) above the one run needed to win a game is on a home run.

I stand corrected...I was sure that I had seen an example of 2 runs counting before.

That said, only the runner from third scores in your scenario, per Rule 4.11(c): "The score of a regulation game is the total number of runs scored by each team at the moment the game ends. (c) If the home team scores the winning run in its half of the ninth inning (or its half of an extra inning after a tie), the game ends immediately when the winning run is scored. EXCEPTION: If the last batter in a game hits a HOME RUN out of the playing field, the batter-runner and all runners on base are permitted to score, in accordance with base-running rules..."

next time I will look up an answer BEFORE answering...
