It just looks like they added more things on that page ( http://sportrends.com/team_pr_mlb.htm).
Do you know that they actually changed the way that they are calculating the P-Power and T-Power?
P-Power and T-Power are still there and the explanation at the top didn't change.
If they didn't change it, why scrap the old system?Comment -

#883The site is listing the wrong number of innings pitched for D. Davis of the CUBS. Normally I don't comment (and normally it's the other way around, with ST counting innings pitched as a reliever, which I think is wrong, but not looking to get into that debate).
In this case, they have him (D. Davis of the CUBS) with less than 20 IP when he has more than 20 IP, so it could affect systems.
Best guess since they are showing 19.2 IP is that they missed his last start, with 4.1 IP to bring his total to 24.0 IPLast edited by barts185; 06-12-11, 10:04 AM.Comment -

Also, once they stop changing the layout (not saying they should if they are adding more things which they think are useful), I have a spreadsheet that will do the calculations and point out the teams they say have less than 20 IP, so would make it easier. I haven't had a chance to add all the filters, so still have to check some, but it shows which teams fit the P-Power, which teams fit the T-Power, and the difference in the projected runs when it is 2 or more. All done in a couple of seconds. If the layout stabilizes, I'll put it here.Comment -

#888Its all new calculations on what is a play or not.
Are you looking at the same thing as I am?
Now you have to factor in the P-DF and the T-DF please read it again.
The old system is out.

The P-Power and T-Power are still there, and appear to be the same. Just because they added other things, doesn't mean that the other system has changed. If you want to update it, or make a new system taking into account the new factors, that's fine.
As of right now, they don't even have an explanation of how to use the Team Due Factor. They say to use 20 or more for the Pitching due factor. While that's the same as the pitching power rating difference, don't want to presume that Team due factor needs a difference of 100.Comment -

#892Here's the current version of the spreadsheet with today's games.
Again, since the layout keeps changing, not sure if this will work on subsequent days. I can easily add the Due Factors once I know what they are for the team difference.
Apparently the Angels are expected to score a lot today (or Kansas City is expected to give up a lot of runs).
Edit - I added the pitching due factor to the spreadsheet. I also added a column for the team due factor, but it isn't calculating anything since I don't know what to use for the difference.
Column J lists the teams where the pitcher has less than 20 innings pitched.
Column K lists the team if they qualify for P-Power
Column L lists the team if they qualify for T-Power
Column M lists the team if they have a 2.0 or higher run difference. It also shows the run difference.
Column N lists the team if they qualify for pitching due factor.Attached FilesLast edited by barts185; 06-12-11, 10:58 AM. Reason: Added Pitching Due Factor and explanation of columnsComment -

Also, I noticed that you and TX: had a play on CWS that I missed with TPR,
it’s a play when the pitcher on a play has 20IP?
I know we went over this last year and I had forgotten about it.
