Double-digit favorites are 10-5 ATS in the tournament so far following Kansas's blowout of Richmond on Friday in Sweet 16 action. The Jayhawks, who have won their Big Dance outings against Boston U., Illinois and Richmond by an average of 18 points, boost that record to 11-5 versus the oddsmakers with another double-digit win and cover against VCU today to earn their Final Four ticket.

This is the fifth time an 11th seed has reached the Elite 8 round. The only two winners were George Mason in 2006 and LSU 20 years earlier. Forget about VCU repeating the feat today.

VCU is a tired team playing on weary legs. You saw it if you watched the latter stages of Friday's physically and mentally exhausting overtime win against Florida State. For a team that thrives on playing up-tempo and forcing turnovers, being fatigued is a no-no, especially when Kansas awaits them.

It's no wonder VCU it tired; the Rams faced USC in the play-in game just to reach the main tournament draw. They followed that up with wins against Georgetown, Purdue and Florida State. With the exception of the Hoyas, those are three physical opponents. Making matters worse, they FSU game was grueling and went into overtime. Also remember that VCU was playing in the second half of Friday's twinbill in San Antonio. Thus Kansas is the more rested team, one that's played one less game the past two weeks.

Another dilemma for VCU today is Kansas's size. The Rams rely on 6-9 forward Jaime Skeen surrounded by four guards. He's overmatched against KU's Morris twins and will be hard-pressed to stay out of foul trouble.

Kansas will own the boards and that keys the Jayhawks' transition game as they roll.

These boys got whatever shot against FSU, they shouldn't hav problems getting the outside shot today. Both teams love the fast tempo. The Morris bros will dominate inside. I can see Morningstar having a good game also, but 11.5 is alot if vcu can get off to a nice start. GL

These are young kids. Stamina shouldn't be a issue. Look at Uconn, people kept saying they were tire out and they keep going. Let hope vcu gets off to a fast good start.
