The Hard Rock app was not kind to me last night so I actually had to get up off of my ass and go to the sportsbook in person. It was a cool trip however as I met up with some of my constituents and big bettors who just wanted to get out of the house and lay some craps and stuff!

Here is what I made moves on last night. The only one that gave me some pause was Virginia catching 16.5-but I figured that when all is said and done-they are still a top 15 defensive team and possessions will be limited somewhat. I think...anyway i have a lot of ground to make up to have enough qualifying moves in the challenge. And from the looks of things there are a majority of the dudes at or around .500 or less so i am not doing as bad as i thought once I saw the bulletin board. I have just been all over the place and not settled to look over the numbers with a jaundiced eye until yesterday afternoon

Although the Sixers have an underdog advantage on paper-their depth chart looks like a revolutionary war medical tent.

As assembled-the Suns don't have the guns to beat the Pistons fully healthy.

The T-Wolves play up to and down to their level of competition-will be really interesting to see what this line does throughout the course of the day.

Any time that you can get the Celtics at home for a spread of less than 12 it's actually good-they blow teams out.

Lord mercifully the CBB challenge is over. It's difficult coming up with a 90% favorites handicap. Now I see what they were saying when i was talking about the HUGE favorites being good. Not all favorites are created equal-not even the good defensive teams. I will stick with that going forward instead of trying to find good numbers. It's a crap shoot. Trying to find good numbers is not easy when you are trying to beat a deadline to get your entries in. I usually play on closing numbers.

Anyway just look at the chart for CBB conversion rates and it's pretty easy to see that unless you are making moves on closers your number can easily turn bad even by just a half point

Slim pickins here today. Of course the numbers for the Sixers are for when they are running on all cylinders. That's not the case with their injury report being as it is. Losers of 7 of their last 8 games is proof that the injury bug has caught up with them big time.

The Magic have the same issues as the Sixers, and have lost 3 straight in the process. The Raptors are somewhat healthy and could present a problem-nevertheless I have an issue with backing a team that gives up nearly 120 points per game vs one of the best defensive teams in the league-injured or not.

We will see what the numbers end up being later on

Good stuff with the Blazers winning outright last night. I probably put a little more on that one than I should have-but hey-I gotta get my CBB challenge money back some sort of way and the NBA will do that for me

Forget about the Clips underdog advantage. They have a long list of players out with injury!

I will be taking the Rockets in this good spot vs the Cavs-just a matter of when.

Look for the Hawks line to go up as Ice Tray will more than likely play-which suits me fine since I will be on the Pistons.

I also like Pelicans in this spot too and the number dropping from an opener of 8.5 down to 6 with all of America on the Bucks is telling.

The T-Wolves/Mavs workup gave me one of the lowest total numbers for my own spreads this season so naturally I will also be on the UNDER for that one-just picking and choosing the time to make my move.

So those are the 4 taht have my interest-as always I will be back later on with my final decisions.

The Kings may be up against it going to altitude and on short rest against rested Nuggets squad.

This is also a good spot for some Magic, Spurs and the Heats (even with the Jimmy Butler bitching act). As far as the number is concerned the Hawks have a lot of landmines to avoid to be a good favorite. those are the moves that I am looking at to round out into form tomorrow.

As far as totals I am liking the Raptors/Hawks OVER 234.5. The only problem with that is the hard Rock doesn't have it available yet so some of the value my be gone. I have them combining for 241 points and that's before the bullshitting
