It's not that McKenzie pitched bad today -it's the way that he pitched bad. Only 9-20 first pitch strikes won't cut it. He was getting by with smoke and mirrors until the 5th to be sure. After this performance he has dropped out of my top tiers from here on out and been demoted to questionable start status

Also going to stay off of Flaherty with 54 strikes in 84 pitches. There's something to having a second injection to quell a back injury already this season and the second time within 2 months. His bat picked him up big time-so don't let that fool you into a false sense of security boys. I picked up Yainer Diaz (Rays) for him so I truly hope that he can get a hit at least

Just gotta hope that he comes up in situations where Eovaldi is forced to pitch to him instead of giving him free passes. If I know this-Eovaldi also knows this

I have Colin Rea ranked at #20 (DNS) and he is favored over Irvin#6-making for the CRUMBS POD. I am upping the units to 3 as a result. Keller is over anything that I am willing to pay in vigorous, especially on the ROAD so I will let him fly as a streamer only. Quintana has rather pedestrian numbers vs the Rox with a .344 average so he will be streamed only as well

Damn...the season is halfway over. I am killing it in our league and as advertised humming along around 50% in this format which is so much harder.

I have noticed an uptick in walks to premier bats in certain situations.

Yordan Alvarez has been getting pitched around very carefully recently for instance and each time that I am making moves on him he ends up with a ton of free passes. Managerial decisions weigh heavily doing things this way. I have no idea what makes a man make a call to the bullpen for the guy with the inflated ERA to try and hold a lead. The pitcher seemingly always walks the first batter he faces

Carson Fulmer is in for Roansy Contreras for the Halos-I am not familiar with this guy.

He's a breaking ball machine featuring his changeup 31%; slider 28%; sinker 28%; 4 seamer 15%; and minimal use of his sweeper and curveball.

Since I know that his use rate will be absolutely zip zilch I am going to take a flyer on him in this format only-I know for sure he won't give me 5 frames so a contrarian move looks decent given the clear fact the the Halos have Gilbert's number

                                    Gilbert vs Halos 43 AB; 9K; 2 BB; .326 AVG; .356 OBP; .674 SLG; 1.030 OPS

Those are bad numbers. When you handle your money in such a way as you are trying to win money in MLB sides and totals moves you will lose more often than not. When you make moves like you are trying to lose you win because you are effectively placing your money with the rooting interest of the sportbooks. So bet to lose...

Ok boys-the big board is all finished and so is the first half of the season! I am hoping to win 2-3 more than I lose today!

Damn now it's come to the Orioles being a home underdog. That's wild. This losing streak is suddenly giving them great value

What a stroke of luck-the Brews swapped out Rea for Zastryzny to start and it nullified my move with Irivn who got blasted. Make sure that your books returned the voided ticket for the listed not starting

Alright so now I have my goal to look forward to for the 2nd half of the season. I want to get to 100 UNITS in this difficult way of making moves. I already passed that mark a long time ago with my streamers. Trying to integrate fantasy moves and ideals with conventional sides and totals is tough and I am quite sure that I will have a .500 record at the end just like everyone else. The only difference is that I would like to increase my winning percentage of the higher unit moves.

There is sure to be some immense value from here on out now that the perceived "contenders" are going to start being assigned ridiculous and uncalled for juiced out lines for pitchers on winning teams who aren't worth the type of moneylines that they will get. I think that looking ahead there will be even more value on underdogs and I am so looking forward to it. See you all in a few days on Friday

Hands down the best stat line of the first half.

The Halos are 41-55 straight up. However they are a league best 56-40 ATS vs the RL with a crisp 31-20 ATS at home and 25-20 ATS on the highway.

Translated Ron Washington has them boys playing well. Also I don't see any reason why they would have any of that value stripped away with the books making as much money as they have been off of this team. I'm not saying go out and start making moves on their RL blindly; but do give them consideration if they have a higher ranked arm and are catching a +1.5 RL costing less than -130

Adrian "Cap" Anson was a towering figure in early professional baseball, known for his exceptional playing skills and significant influence. He was the first true MLB superstar. He was the cornerstone of the Chicago White Stockings (later known as the Colts and eventually the Cubs). He was revered for his hitting abilities and strategic mind. Anson led his team to numerous victories and is considered one of the greatest players of the early era.

Anson's on-field achievements were extraordinary. He led the White Stockings to multiple triumphs and was the first player to accumulate over 3,000 hits. His consistent batting excellence set a benchmark for future generations, and his dominance in runs-batted-in (RBI) remains unmatched.

Anson pioneered developing the first true pitching rotation and refining tactics like the hit-and-run play. Under his leadership, the White Stockings emerged as a dominant force in the nascent National League, and the team was known as "Anson's Colts."

However, Anson's legacy has its blemishes, particularly regarding his stance on race, which casts a long shadow over his contributions. In an era when the question of racial integration in baseball was nascent, Anson's refusal to play against teams with black players, such as Moses Fleetwood Walker of the Toledo Blue Stockings, was a critical factor in the establishment of the color line. His insistence that black players be excluded from games, seen in his actions during 1883 and 1884, set a precedent that was adopted by leagues and teams, cementing racial segregation in baseball until Jackie Robinson broke the barrier in 1947. Anson's actions significantly entrench this exclusionary practice, a legacy that blights his otherwise stellar baseball record.

Beyond the color line issue, Anson's personal and managerial conduct revealed other flaws. While effective in maintaining discipline and strategy, his authoritarian leadership style often alienated players and peers. His later life, marked by financial mismanagement and failed business ventures, further highlighted his shortcomings. These aspects of Anson's character complicate the narrative of his greatness, illustrating the duality of his legacy.

Cap Anson's story is one of greatness, contradiction, extraordinary achievements, and moral failings. His influence on baseball was tremendous as a player and manager, setting standards and shaping the sport. Yet, his role in shaping baseball's racial segregation stands as a stark reminder of the prejudices that marred the era and his legacy. Anson's life and career, viewed through the lens of history, offer a poignant reflection on how figures of significant influence can simultaneously drive progress and perpetuate injustice; this remains a substantial part of his legacy.

Translated I am going have to list my moves. I was pissed that Yasmani Grandal total bases wasn't available on Hard Rock as he is 4-9 vs Nola with 2 BOMBS and a triple mixed in with a .444 AVG, .500 OBP, 1.333 SLG AND 1.833 OPS.

I would be ecstatic I can go 10-6 if possible!

It was a mad scramble to readjust the top ten as some starters who were scheduled to start such as Zach Gallen, Logan Webb, Max Fried, Jon Gray and McKenzie Gore were pushed back to tomorrow or otherwise. However this also gives us a chance to turn the channel to see a wonderful Corbin Burnes vs Nate Eovaldi matchup. I am not liking to have to put Bibee up as high as I ended having to put him especially with the Guardians never having faced Waldron. Waldron's knuckleball needs to carry him through as his other offerings haven't been so great this month, Bibee has had some weird command lately-but if you have him on roster-you're starting him no matter what. Still Luis Arraez could be his undoing and be a table setter for the Friars.

Jack Flaherty is going to get the K's. Copy and paste him on any and all platforms.

Will the Tigers give him some run support? Their numbers vs Bassitt are sweet and Flaherty's numbers vs the Jays are also sweet-making for a mistake by the line maker to have the Tigers installed as an underdog based on the information available-hopefully it stands true

There will be some robust CRUMBS from here on out in MLB if one is savvy enough to not be impressed by the more overvalued marketable teams. That's why I feel that it's not out of reason that I should be able to get to the +100 UNITS. I'm not afraid to lose-therefore I am constantly aligning myself with the rooting interest of the sport books. Hey if they can take the action against these highly juiced favorites down the stretch then so can I

Nelson and the Snakes started of at -124/+106 and ended at +124/-149 with the majority of money on the Cubs of 63% to 37%. Once the books sniff that bettors are on one side heavily they will shift the line to get more juice paid to their cause
