Cubs were a play, but even at -.5 they are -160 which is too much for me so NO PLAY
May have one more on the night card. Just waiting for some info.

#1096DD, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have a way to determine xFIP first 5 innings sides and second half plays where you look at both teams separately.
Should there be times where the stars align and the xFIP first 5 innings side play also is deemed to have a second half advantage, making it a heck of a full game play? Maybe you've looked into this already, but just a thought.Comment -

The problem is, I have admitted previously, that I just have not been good at picking sides, but as fate would have it, just this morning I was thinking (as I looked at the reliever stats) what if the first five xFIP play indicated one side and the rest/work of the bullpen indicated the same side. I may start seeing if this shows a profit. Right now I am posting more plays than I normally would like to, but as long as everyone is cognisant of the the fact that this is a marathon and not a sprint, I will keep doing so, or until they start losing.Last edited by doubledime; 07-28-17, 10:13 AM.Comment -

I know you have a ton of plays already though, so might be too much. Thanks for posting your plays.Comment -

#1107Good morning,
Last night Seattle scores four runs in the bottom of the 5th to make our Mets xFIP first five inning play a 5-4 loser. Last week the opposite happened, so as I mentioned before, these situations even out over time, but it still was a disappointing loss.
The Reliever Play for Saturday:
Cinci/Mia over 3.5 second half
VMI:
Balt full game
xFIP first five inning sides:
Cubs -.5 runs
AZ
LAA
Det
KC
Balt
Mets
Note: San Francisco was a big fat dog (+255) that almost qualified, but I just could not pull the trigger on it.
xFIP first five inning totals:
LAA/Tor under 5.5
Min/Oak over 5
Second Half Plays:
Hou/Det over 4
KC/Bost under 3.5
Min/Oak over 3.5

#1108I watched that Mets collapse, was frustrating. We've had a couple of tough losses this week with 2 outs in the 5th and the other team scores. Like you said, over time it generally evens out. Good luck today DD!Comment -

The two games are LAA and the Cubs.
LAA was a xFIP side today and so are the Cubs. LAA lost the first five innings, but as I post this they are winning in the late innings. Cubs play tonight. These are NOT plays but since Juice asked the question and I had a little time I just thought I would share this.
