Sure, I really like the value for the price though it's hard to go against Hamels right now...
Big pluses : -Rox trending up (won 4 of last 5, 2 of 3 kicking off this road trip) and Phils trending down - 4 game losing streak (and lost 7 of last 8) , Hamels the only light
-Rox Hitting Really well - 59 runs in last 10 game , and doing it slightly better against LHP's (Rox against LHP = .268 AVG, .333 OBP in 2015) compared to Phils against RHP = .227 AVG, .277 OBP and scoring 33 runs in last 10 games ... last in runs scored this year
Glass half full :
-Bettis MAY WHIP 1.40, 4.19 ERA -Not great I agree, but only 3 starts since being called up, gave up 3 runs in 6 innings to PHI 5/19 , then a great last outing going 8 innings with 0 runs against SF before giving up 2 ER in the 9th)
-Hamels in May pitching great no question- 1.08 WHIP, 2.8 ERA (but higher #'s at home than away , closer to 3.5 ERA at home... and ERA 3.24 on 5/18 at COL) Even with his great pitching, Phils are 6-4 record with him on the mound
So not too technical, but yeah for the price I'm hoping Rox can get it done, BOL!

i dont think so at all. i hate to go all naysayer with so many on kc but they exactly like atl yesterday to me. maybe worse considering how well kc has performed as dogs makes them more appealing than atl. for me the bottom line is royals trending down at moment, get one less bat in the lineup today, and are facing the far better pitcher. not to mention we got a ump with a small kzone, neither pitcher has pitched well with him behind plate but arreata's starts were long before he became the pitcher he is. im on scrubbies ff -.5 and parlayed the ml with a bet to be added later..

where the premium he usually comes along with? nats are 30 cents better than cincy if the sp's are a wash. messed up as stras is im not ready to say he any worse than the dude starting for the reds. next time i bet stras will be one of the 1st times ever so not exactly lining up to do so. gotta say it certainly feels like his recent issues have finally taken him off the lifetime achievement awards overpriced list. i doubt you could ever find him at -125 vs a team losing like cincy has been, and that when he had far less surrounding him than the hottest team around.
Yeah, I can't agree with you more. But CIN is so bad right now, so I'm hoping they will score more runs than Stras will give up. The run line on WAS is opened at only +120 and I think there is a reason for that. So I will make that my DOD.

i dont know anything bout lad's pitcher other than the limited numbers. this doyer lineup the kind of lineup i been referring to when i say lackey will have some bad outings this yr. they dont expand the zone, if you can force lackey in the zone he can be hit.. biggest problem here is we been having some pretty decent storms on and off last few days and think they calling for more tonight.

i think it a good play honestly. ill spare you the excruciating 1 run win by not playing it! lol. tells ya how messed up i am, now that stras at his lowest im finally ready to bet him! reds pitcher im not gonna bother trying to spell aint exactly anything special either, their middle relief is trash, and you get the hottest offense vs a cincy team that in a tailspin.. let both pitchers get ran by the 4th and you be in good shape. hell maybe stras just been waiting to not be overpriced to pitch well again!

i dont really like cards but ive been far less successful than previous years when fading them. im done with that unless it just a great spot at great price. not knowing much bout lad's starter enough for me to leave alone, not to mention potential showers during gm. i just think lad hit lackey, but again that something ive been wrong about 2 of 3 times i recall saying it..

I wouldn't say there's much difference between the two pitchers right now. Maybe in the long run, but not now. And KC minus a bat still his better than the cubs. Good luck though. You've been right a lot more than me this year.

i think there a ton honestly. doesnt appear so today tho, little pissed i played over but did so with scrubbies. im not under any illusions that i have a chance if down after 6. besides pitcher i really dont think kc lineup is better than scrubbies, maybe im wrong and def would like to look closer before making any kind of definitive statement.. to tell ya the truth if i lose this one it wont break my heart, 1 cause ive learned the hardest aspect of this thing and that to manage my money to the point 1 play is anything more than that, 1 in several a day. with that said if i lose it means you guys all cashing which always cool with me. i dont mind being wrong

I agree with your assessment of the pitchers. Had to watch Volquez when he was a red. But at the moment, as they are pitching up to this point, they seem equal statistically. Volquez will never go much past six innings, but he doesn't have to with that pen. I appreciate the back and forth here. It helps me learn. And I make money tailing some of your plays.

Clearly the Royals were a good option, They are legit and once they survived being up after the starters were pulled you had it in the bag because of the bullpen difference between the 2 clubs right now.

If I recall correctly it was the k/bb ratio and arreata's ability to generate more grounders w a strong wind out. I don't look at surface stats a ton, didn't know both pitchers been close in that regard. Peripherals suggest arreata been pitching better. Helped volquez cause that scrubbies were swinging out their damn shoes! And that prob where kc excels over them lineup wise now that I think about it. Scrubbies way too much of free swingers. Nice hit man.

well, I'm more scared of the outcome in the 2nd half esp when favoring rox.. but, hopefully they can score more than 4 in the 1st half to have an advantage.. BOL as well..

My system has Pitt as a solid winner tonight? I have not had time to study because of a major server meltdown at work.
Does the "Mag Circle of Trust" have some insight for me?

Thanks. You too on the over. Haven't seen him lately, but Volquez was always a strike out pitcher got the reds. He never went deep into a game, but with that bullpen, it seemed like a good play to me. Even a blind squirrel find an acorn once in a while
