I've been following along here at SBR for a few months now, but finally decided to throw some picks out there.

The starting pitching in this match-up is about as close to a push as you're going to get. Two lefties with very similar statistics for the season and as of late. TOR, however, is hitting lefties at a much higher rate. I'm going with the hotter team at home over the cold (1 of last 9) team traveling from St. Petersburg to Toronto overnight.

Billy Buckner on the mound, and in his last 3 games, he is 0-3 with an ERA of 9.72 and a rather large WHIP of 1.92. He gave up 7 runs in his last outing in 6 innings, and has given up 5 runs in each of the 5 games before that, and only going into the 6th inning of one of those games. Arizona has lost 5 of their last 6.
Snyder, Byrnes, Tracy, & Jackson are out for the Diamondbacks. Arizona is 15-25 at home.
Los Angeles:
Jered Weaver throwing tonight for the Angels. Lost his last game against his brother, but is 2-1 and an ERA of 3.10 and a WHIP of 1.38. Other than the 5 runs he gave up in his last outing, he has given up 0, 2, 1, 1, 1 run in the previous 5 before that. Vladimir Guerrero may be out tonight for rest. Angels are 18-17 on the road, and are 7-3 in their last 10, winning their last 3 on the road at SF

The Tigers are dominating in the offensive catagories in the last 5. They are starting a young pitcher, which would normally make me hesitant. However, the Astros putting Paulino on the mound. The Astros will continue to struggle facing an unknown commodity and Paulino will implode, my guess is the 2nd inning.
... Half way through the write up I realized that this all might be quite a common take among the thread with respect to the fact that there are more than a few Michigan natives in the house. That being said, any further information on the unknown commodity would be of great use.

I am going to make a mid-day play on the Braves -150 for 1 unit and O-8.5 for 1 unit. I have seen lots of games for Tim Wakefield go over last year, this year not as bad. Tim Wakefield also just pitched against the Braves, gave up 4 runs and got the Win. I think Atlanta puts 5 or 6 up this time @ HOME.Comment -
Just a little thought for the later games. I have been seeing lots of support for NyM on SBR and my mind is screaming...are you kidding. Other than the Mets are home, I don't see it. Redding is trash against a line-up like the NyY has and now A-rod is seeing the ball again on top of that. A.J Burnett is a quality pitcher. I don't like the -160, but its better than the -180 it started on. or maybe I will do a 2 team parlay, just have to find team #2. Seatle looks good with Felix on the mound and I have a strong lean on SF, not real crazy about Zito, but Mil has McClunk on the mound. I just think he won't last, IMHO. He has good numbers now, but all of that is relief numbers. When he pitched for TB, he stunk. Let him get in the 3rd and 4th inning and we will see.Comment -
